Qualifications

Professor Yesim Yıldırım has been working as a medical oncology specialist at Anadolu Medical Center since 2011. She is a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).

She specializes in the cancer immunotherapy and targeted therapies, diagnostics and treatment of malignant neoplasms of various localizations, especially breast cancers, gastrointestinal cancers and lung cancers.

 Also she wrote more than 80 international and national publications, abstracts and  books ( co-author in ‘Handbook of Advanced Cancer Care Treatment’ and ‘Precision medicine in cancer and non-communicable disease). 

Yesim Yildirim is one of the outstanding specialists in the area of medical oncology.

Not only a doctor, but also a scientist and lecturer in Halic University (Istanbul: Turkey). She is a member of several well-known associations: ESMO - European Society of Medical Oncology, ESO - European School of Oncology and so forth.

Nowadays she is currently working in Anadolu Medical Centre at a position of Professor.

Education: In 1999 Dr. Yesim Yıldırım graduated from  Hacettepe University Medical School and started internal medicine fellowship in Gazi University.  After finishing internal medicine she subsequently started her oncology career in Baskent University and became medical oncologist in 2007. During her academic  journey she was awarded by numbers of grants and scholarships.

Academic experience: 

  • Obtained a grade of minor assistant to the Medical Oncology Hospital Division after gaining a scholarship of Middle East Cancer Consortium and attending an advanced oncology tuition courses at Rambam Medical Centre in Haifa, Israel;
  • In 2010 achieved an academic rank of Assistant Professor of internal diseases at Acibadem University School of Medicine;
  • Gained the attestation certificate from ESMO examination (2010);
  • Was conferred a scholastic Associate Professor degree in medical oncology after completing her academic studies in 2011;
  • Participated to the training course in Melanoma and Kidney Cancer Clinic at Mount Vernon Cancer Center Immunooncology Clinic, London, UK;
  • Successfully finished MBA program in Healthcare Management in Bilgi University, Istanbul;
  • In 2021 achieved an academic rank of Professor in Haliç University, Istanbul.
