    Born in 1983, Dr. Özgün Barış Güntürk completed his high school education at İzmir Karşıyaka Anatolian High School. He pursued his medical studies at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, graduating in 2007. Afterward, he began his residency training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at İzmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital in 2008, alongside his mandatory public service.

    After completing his residency and earning his title as an Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist in 2013, Dr. Güntürk fulfilled his mandatory service at Bitlis State Hospital. He then passed the subspecialty examination and completed his Hand Surgery fellowship training at İzmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital.

    Dr. Güntürk worked as a Hand Surgery and Orthopedics Specialist providing microsurgery services for approximately two years at Gaziantep Dr. Ersin Arslan Training and Research Hospital. In late 2018, he transitioned out of public service and moved back to İzmir, where his family resides. Since March 2020, he has been practicing at the Private EMOT (Hand Microsurgery, Orthopedics, and Traumatology) Hospital.

    In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Güntürk is a passionate semi-professional musician, enjoying music as a personal hobby. He is married and has one child.
