Biography

Associate Professor Koray Aykut is currently the cardiovascular surgeon of İzmir University. Previously, he was surgeon at Ege Hospital from 2008 to 2013. His specific teaching and research interests cover adult heart surgery and vascular surgery. He has authored 10 articles that are published in peer-review journals listed by SCI and SCI-e and 8 articles that are published in national journals.

Associate Professor Koray Aykut was graduated from Ege university in 1999 and completed residency of cardiovascular surgery in Dokuz Eylül University in 2005. He was cardiac surgeon in Kars State Hospital from 2005 to 2007 for compulsory service. He has been in Cyprus Army Hospital from 2007 to 2008 for his military service.

Assoc. Prof. Elif Evrim EKIN completed her education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine between and obtained the title of Medical Doctor. In 2003 she received her Radiology specialization from Izmir Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital, and also spent a year at the Ege University Department of Radiology. After obtaining her Radiology specialization, she worked at Bozüyük State Hospital and Private Eskişehir Sakarya Hospital from 2003 to 2014. Since 2014 she has worked at Istanbul Taksim Gaziosmanpaşa Training and Research Hospital for 10 years, where she obtained the title of Associate Professor in 2019, serving as the Education Coordinator and Administrative Responsible in the Radiology Education Clinic. She has published research articles in international SCI and SCI-E journals and has numerous national and international oral presentations and journal peer reviews.
