Biography

Dr. Mehdi Afrit is a Medical Oncologist who practices at Burjeel Specialty Hospital in Sharjah. He has over 11 years of experience caring for and managing cancer patients. He has extensive experience providing chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy to patients. He earned a Certificate of Medical Oncology from the Gustave Roussy Institute in Paris, France, where he received training in antitumor chemotherapy and cancer medical treatment. Additionally, he holds an international certificate in breast diseases. He also has a certificate in Good Clinical Practice from Trans Celerate Biopharma Inc. and a certificate in Clinical Trial Management: Good Clinical Practice from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians. He previously worked for over five years as an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at Tunis’s Faculty of Medicine. He later practiced as a Consultant, Medical Oncologist for six years at Arianna’s hospital in Tunisia. He later worked for two years as a Specialist Medical Oncologist at Zulekha Hospital. Dr. Burak Pasinlioğlu graduated from Ankara Science High School in 2006. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2013. He also graduated from Anadolu University Business Administration Department in 2016 as the second university.

In the Medical Specialization Examination (TUS) held in 2014, he ranked 39th among approximately ten thousand doctors and was entitled to receive training at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, one of the most well-established plastic surgery clinics in Turkey. During his residency, he performed hundreds of aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries.

He participated in many surgeries as an observer at the Cleveland Clinic, which was chosen as the second best hospital in the USA. In 2019, he worked as a fellow with world-renowned plastic surgeon Prof.Dr.Moustapha Hamdi in breast aesthetics and reconstruction in Brussels for 3 months. After successfully completing the course organized by the Reconstructive Microsurgery Association, he was awarded a microsurgery certificate. At the end of 2019, he completed his residency and became a specialist. His thesis in the experimental field was published as an academic article in the world's best plastic surgery journal, PRS Journal. In addition, he has many academic articles.

He passed the first step of the European Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) board exams in Brussels, Belgium in 2019 and the second step in İzmir, Turkey in 2020, and was awarded the title of Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS).
