Dr. Stefan Sacu is a highly experienced eye specialist, specializing in ophthalmology and optometry, cataract and retinal surgery, macular and retinal diseases, and research. He has been a resident at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Vienna since 1999 and has taught ophthalmology and practical ophthalmology at various institutions. He has been awarded the "Theodor-Koerner Science Price" in 2003 and is a member of the DGII and ESCRS.

He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, Turkish Society of Ophthalmology, Turkish Republics Ophthalmology Society and Turkish Society of Ophthalmology, Vitreoretinal Surgery Unit. He has performed 17,000 cataract surgeries and 8,500 vitreoretinal surgeries.
