Between 2015 and 2023, he held various positions in Acıbadem Health Group and received the title of Associate Professor in Psychiatry in 2019.
Since the most important factor in his choice of psychiatry is his interest in addiction and related problems, he has done a significant part of his scientific research in this field since the first days he started working as a research assistant. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Serdar Nurmedov, who has completed many trainings in this field in Turkey and abroad, has been an observer in psychiatry and addiction rehabilitation centers in many countries including the United States of America, the Netherlands and the Russian Federation.

After graduating in 1993, she started to work as a general practitioner in Kırşehir province Kaman district No. 1 health center to do her compulsory service. After 1 year, he was assigned to Kırşehir State Hospital Emergency Department. Then he assumed the duty of Kırşehir Provincial Health Directorate Mental and Mental Health Branch Directorate. In 1996, he became a specialty student at Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Mental Health and Diseases with TUS. He successfully presented his thesis titled "Attitudes of people living in a rural area in Turkey towards depression" and became a Psychiatrist.
His first place of duty as a mental health and diseases specialist was Manisa Turgutlu State Hospital. Here he managed the psychiatry clinic for over 10 years. In accordance with the legislation of the Ministry of Health, he worked as a private practice physician for a period.
He became a Psychodrama Therapist at Abdülkadir Özbek Psychodrama Institute. She received individual Psychoanalysis training from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Eğrilmez, social skills training in Schizophrenia from Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yıldız, Motivational interviewing training from Prof. Dr. Kültegin Ögel.
