She was born in Istanbul in 1986. He graduated from Üsküdar American High School in 2004. In 2010, she graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and received the title of doctor of medicine. In 2011, he started his specialty training at Istanbul Medical Faculty, Department of Mental Health and Diseases and became a psychiatry specialist in 2016. He fulfilled his state service obligation at Diyarbakır Bismil State Hospital. In 2020, he started his doctoral studies on the epidemiology of psychosis at Maastricht University School of Mental Health and Neuroscience in the Netherlands and is still continuing. Dr. Michael Krasnoshtein is a psychiatrist and Head of the Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Unit at Sourasky Medical Center. Born in 1976 in Dashoguz, Turkmenistan, Prof. Serdar Nurmedov graduated from Trabzon Kanuni Anatolian High School in 1996 and Karadeniz Technical University in 2002. In the same year, he started working as a research assistant at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and became a Psychiatry Specialist in 2009. After becoming a specialist, he worked at NPISTANBUL hospital until 2015 and during this time he took an active role in the establishment of Turkey's first private Addiction Treatment Center. Between 2015 and 2023, he held various positions in Acıbadem Health Group and received the title of Associate Professor in Psychiatry in 2019.
Since the most important factor in his choice of psychiatry is his interest in addiction and related problems, he has done a significant part of his scientific research in this field since the first days he started working as a research assistant. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Serdar Nurmedov, who has completed many trainings in this field in Turkey and abroad, has been an observer in psychiatry and addiction rehabilitation centers in many countries including the United States of America, the Netherlands and the Russian Federation.
Prof. Dr. Serdar Nurmedov, who did his specialty thesis on "Alcohol Addiction and Cognitive Functions", has nearly 50 scientific articles published in national and international journals, presentations in national and international congresses, awards, books and book chapters. His publications have received more than 1000 citations to date.
Currently, Prof. Serdar Nurmedov, who continues to work as a lecturer at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, continues his research in the fields of General Psychiatry, Addiction, Neuroscience and Psychotherapy.
