On his return from London, he organized and directed the Arrhythmia Unit of the Cardiology Service of the University Hospital Nuestra Señora del Pino in Las Palmas until 2000.

Professor Daniel Zimpfer is a cardiac and vascular surgeon with expertise in congenital heart diseases. He leads the Department of Surgery for Congenital Heart Diseases. Since 2012, he has also served as the medical director of the mechanical circulatory support program.

He started his residency in urology at Gazi University Hospital in 1987 and completed his specialization in 1992, becoming a urology specialist.
