Dr. Digdem Begendi is an experienced ophthalmologist. She specializes in cataract surgery with IOL replacement, LASIK, and strabismus treatment. She is skilled in advanced procedures, including intraLase laser eye surgery, laser iridotomy, and femtosecond laser techniques.
Dr. Begendi has published several articles in national and international journals. Her work shows a strong commitment to research and clinical care. She is a member of the Turkish Ophthalmology Association. She completed her medical degree at Istanbul Bilim University and her specialization at Akdeniz University.
Professor Dr. Stefan Pieh is a leading Austrian ophthalmologist. He specializes in refractive and cataract surgery. Dr. Pieh leads the Eye Refractive Surgery Center at Vienna Private Clinic. He also teaches at the Medical University of Vienna. He has performed thousands of procedures to correct myopia and hyperopia. He uses excimer lasers and implantable lenses for these treatments.
Dr. Pieh is known for his research on intraocular lens image quality. He has worked at the cornea department of Vienna General Hospital since 1998. He is an honorary member of several major ophthalmological societies, including ESCRS and ASCRS. These memberships highlight his international reputation and expertise.
Dr. Stefan Sacu is an experienced ophthalmologist. He specializes in cataract and retinal surgery, as well as diseases of the macula and retina. Since 1999, he has worked at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Vienna. He has taken part in many scientific projects. His research includes new treatments for exudative macular diseases and genetic therapies for hereditary retinal conditions.
Dr. Sacu received the Theodor-Koerner Science Prize in 2003. He is an active member of the DGII and ESCRS. He is known for his clinical and academic work. Dr. Sacu teaches both nursing staff and medical students. He is dedicated to improving eye care with modern techniques and equipment.
Dr. Tasanee Sirikul is an ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea and refractive surgery. She earned her MD with Second-Class Honors from the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. She fulfilled her government service as a medical fellow at Roi Et Provincial Hospital. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Ramathibodi Hospital. She also received certification in cornea and refractive surgery from the Department of Ophthalmology at Ramathibodi.
She is a Visiting Lecturer in ophthalmology (cornea and refractive surgery) at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. She practices cornea and refractive surgery at Laser Vision International LASIK Center.
Dr. Mehmet Orçun Akdemir is a member of the Turkish Ophthalmology Association. He has published 24 articles in international peer‑reviewed journals, many indexed in SCI/SCI‑E. He has 17 papers in national peer‑reviewed journals. He has given 5 presentations at international meetings.
His work centers on the cornea and anterior segment. Areas include keratoconus; DALK, PKP, and DSAEK; corneal biomechanics; and corneal cross‑linking. He also studies glaucoma surgery after keratoplasty, ocular surface disease and pseudoexfoliation, and neuro‑ophthalmology and retina. He contributed to 4 ophthalmology book translations. His studies compare DALK and PKP outcomes in keratoconus, analyze biomechanics after DALK, evaluate graft thickness after DSAEK, and compare trabeculectomy with the Ahmed valve in post‑PKP glaucoma.
Dr. Tuğrul Akın is an experienced ophthalmologist. He graduated from Ankara University School of Medicine. He completed his specialist training at Gülhane Military Medical Academy in Turkey. He is a member of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association and the Turkish Medical Association. He is committed to professional growth and ongoing medical education.

Dr. Afrim Vuçitërna is a specialist ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience in Kosovo’s public healthcare system. He began his career in 1990. Dr. Vuçitërna has worked in both outpatient clinics and hospitals. He focuses on anterior segment diseases and general ophthalmology.
