Prof. Kıvanç Derya Peker completed his medical education and general surgery specialization at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). After his major specialization, he got his Gastroenterology Surgery Specialization from the Gastroenterology Surgery Clinic of Kartal Koşuyolu Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital by entering the top 3 in the minor examination.

During his sub-branch assistantship, he received a scholarship from the Turkish Surgery Association and worked at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, USA) Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Clinic and Obesity-Metabolic Surgery Clinic. After returning to Turkey, He was one of the founders of the Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery unit at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital. Peker provided Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery training to general surgery residents and gastroenterology surgery residents in this hospital, which is accepted as a training unit by the Turkish HPB Association.

On the other hand; In order to learn stem cells, cancer biology, cellular properties of obesity and aging, he did his doctorate and thesis on aging at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa), Department of Medical Biology. Then, he moved to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital to establish the Gastroenterology Surgery Clinic.

Prof. Dr. Süleyman Alıcı completed his medical education at Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine. (1990) He later specialized in Internal Medicine between 1991-1995 at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Internal Medicine Clinic. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Medicine Internal Medicine Clinic between 1996-1997. Alıcı, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2004, served as the clinical chief of the Medical Oncology Clinic at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital between 2005-2008. He was responsible for the formation and establishment of the Medical Oncology Clinic at the same hospital, providing training to Medical Oncology residents. In 2007, he received training and worked as an observer at Dana Farber Cancer Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in the fields of gastrointestinal tumors, breast cancer, and lung cancers (Thoracic Cancers).

Prof. Dr. Süleyman Alıcı, who took part in the opening and establishment of Medicalpark Göztepe Oncology Hospital (2008-2017), worked at Acıbadem Hospital/Altunizade Branch in the Medical Oncology Clinic between 2017-2023.

Alıcı has over 70 published articles in international peer-reviewed journals and over 50 scientific studies published in domestic peer-reviewed journals. He has presented over 100 papers at scientific meetings both domestically and internationally. Prof. Dr. Ümmügül Üyetürk completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine between 1988-1994. She specialized in Internal Medicine at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital from 1998 to 2003. Between 2008-2011, she received her subspecialty training in Medical Oncology at Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital.

After serving as the deputy chief physician at Suluova State Hospital, she established the Internal Medicine Department and Medical Oncology Science Branch at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University between 2011-2020, where she served as the head of the science branch. During this time, she educated resident doctors and students. Üyetürk, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2014, spent 6 months in Canada/Toronto in 2019. In 2020, she was awarded the title of Professor at Abant İzzet Baysal University.

Üyetürk has published over 60 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has more than 20 scientific works published in national peer-reviewed journals. Ayhan Ozcan, M.D., is a professor of pathology and worked as a faculty member in the Department of Pathology at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, School of Medicine, Ankara (2001-2016) and Yeni Yüzyil University, School of Medicine, Istanbul (2016-2018) in Turkey.

He was appointed to assistant professor in 2001, associate professor in 2006, and professor in 2015 in the Department of Pathology at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, School of Medicine, Ankara. 

He specializes in kidney pathology (medical and non-medical). He also served as director of electron microscopy in the Department of Pathology at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, School of Medicine, Ankara. 

He graduated from GMMA in 1991 at, where he stayed for pathology residency training for three years. His interests include nephropathology, genitourinary pathology, bone and soft tissue pathology, placental pathology, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy.

He joined as a visiting professor in the Renal Pathology Division, Department of Pathology, Methodist Hospital in Texas for 1 year (2005-2006). After five years, he worked as a visiting scholar (about nephropathology and genitourinary pathology) in the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine, Indiana University for 4 months in 2010. He worked as a visiting scholar in the Renal and Transplant Pathology Laboratory and also as a researcher in Renal Research Laboratory, Department of Pathology, College of Medicine, Ohio State University for 8 months in 2011.

Dr Ozates was born in 1966 in Birecik district of Sanliurfa in Turkey. He completed his primary and secondary education in my hometown, Birecik. In 2003, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor with the examination held at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. In 2005-2013, Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital Radiology Clinic Chief, Training and Administrative Officer.

In 2013, he started to work as a professor at Nişantaşı University. On March 15, 2013, he was appointed as the Inter-University Board Representative for 1 year. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Ayvansaray University. He is a sub – specialist in “Pediatric Radiology”

His articles have been published in many magazines in Turkey and abroad. He presented written and oral presentations and gave conferences at congresses in various cities and countries.

As the Radiology Clinic Chief of Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital, he is the first professor who performed Coronary CT Angiography in a state hospital in Istanbul.

He is one of Turkey’s first Children’s Radiology Specialist Minor. He did his military service between March and April 2000 at the 200-bed Malatya Military Hospital.

Dr. Humera Bint Raees is a respected Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with more than 23 years of clinical experience. She specializes in minimally invasive procedures, infertility evaluation, and the care of high-risk pregnancies.

Dr. Raees earned her MBBS from Fatima Jinnah Medical College. She completed her FCPS at Sir Ganga Ram Teaching Hospital. She also holds the MRCOG (UK) and MRCP (Ireland) qualifications. Dr. Shaunak Valame is an MD in Internal Medicine and holds a DNB in Medical Oncology. He received advanced training at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. He also worked as a Registrar at Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital in Bhopal. Dr. Valame has presented his research at international forums, including the Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium in San Francisco.

He is known for his work in targeted cancer therapies. He has given lectures at the International Winter School of Oncology at AIIMS Bhopal. Dr. Valame is accredited by the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is committed to advancing cancer research and clinical care.

Dr. Ersin Öztürk, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine and an expert in General Surgery. His specialties include Surgical Oncology, Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgery, Obesity Surgery, Hernia Surgery, and Proctology. He holds a Ph.D. in Physiology. Dr. Öztürk completed his residency at Uludağ University and later conducted advanced research at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the USA.

He is currently a Professor at Medicana Bursa Hospital. Dr. Öztürk has also served as Assistant and Associate Professor at Uludağ University and as Professor at KTO Karatay University. He is known for his important work in surgical innovation and medical education in Turkey.

Dr. Kayihan Engin is a Radiation Oncologist. He earned his medical degree from Uludağ University Medical College in 1983. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the Center of Oncology & Nuclear Medicine in Istanbul in 1990. From 1990 to 1994, he pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in Thermoradiotherapy at Thomas Jefferson University in the USA.

Dr. Engin has held key academic and leadership roles. He served as Professor, Chairman, and Faculty Accreditation Coordinator at Uludağ University Medical College from 1991 to 2005. He was also Professor and Director at Anadolu Medical Center between 2004 and 2017. Since 2017, he has led the Oncological Sciences departments at Ceylan International and Medicana Bursa Hospitals.
