Since January 1993, Dr. Totaro holds the role of the Coordinator of the MAP (Medically Assisted Procreation) Center and of the Obstetrics-Gynecological Ultrasound Center at the Ospedale Santa Maria at the Maternal and Child Department. Under his supervision the Center, one of the leading MAR centers in Italy, performs more than 1,000 procedures a year. Dr. Idris Sertbas is a skilled neurosurgeon with experience in both adult and pediatric brain and spine surgeries. He performs complex procedures such as brain and cerebellum tumor surgeries. The doctor graduated from Ankara University Medical Faculty in 1992 and became a Specialist in Medicine at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child Diseases. In 2002, the doctor served as an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Hematology at the same institution.

The doctor specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancers, leukemia (lymphoma), childhood bleeding diseases, vascular occlusion, anemia treatments, and deficiencies in iron and vitamins.

With a strong academic background, the doctor has published 15 articles in international refereed journals, presented 9 full texts at international scientific meetings, authored 3 books or book chapters, and published 8 articles in local refereed journals.
