Dr. Mustafa Yavuz Samanci is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Medipol Acıbadem District Hospital in Istanbul. He has specialized training in stereotactic, functional, and pediatric neurosurgery. Dr. Samanci completed a clinical fellowship in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. He has also finished advanced programs in spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation. Dr. Nurperi Gazioglu is a neurosurgeon. She trained at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She earned her MD in 1984 after study from 1978 to 1984. She completed neurosurgery training from 1986 to 1993. Her 1993 dissertation examined “Fetal Hypophysis Transplantation Under the Renal Capsule in Rats.”

She completed advanced courses in endoscopic pituitary surgery (2005, 2007, 2008) and endoscopic lumbar disc surgery (2007). She also trained in molecular genetics for clinicians (2003) and CME with the World Federation of Neurology (2002). She studied epilepsy surgery focused on insular–hippocampal anatomy (1999) and thoracolumbar trauma (1998). She attended the EANS European Neurosurgery Course (1988). Her clinical training includes observerships at APHP Necker–Enfants Malades and Hôpital Lariboisière in 1991. She completed an internship there in 1999.

Dr. Cenk İndelen is a cardiovascular surgery specialist. He has practiced since 2002. He has worked at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital since 2025. He completed his residency in thoracic, cardiovascular, and vascular surgery at Kocaeli University (1996–2002). He became an associate professor in 2023.

His focus is patient blood management and cardiothoracic optimization. He has published on transfusion cost-effectiveness and PBM implementation (Cardiovasc J Afr, 2023). He has also reported on the economics of aortic valve replacement (Heart Surg Forum, 2023) and techniques in coronary, mitral, and aortic surgery. He was born in Giresun-Espiye in 1961. He received his primary and secondary education in Espiye and Trabzon. He started his medical education at Hacettepe University, Trabzon Faculty of Medicine in 1978 and graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1985. He did his 2-year compulsory state service as an Emergency Physician in the Emergency Service of Çanakkale State Hospital. In 1987, he started his specialization training at Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He completed my specialization training in 1993 and started to work as a specialist in the same department. Continuing his professional and academic life at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, he became a professor and chaired the chair.

During and after his specialization training, he was found in various hospitals in many different countries for vocational training and development purposes. In addition to various fields of Cardiovascular Surgery, he has worked for many years in the fields of cardiovascular traumatology, multi- and interdisciplinary cardiovascular surgery, video-thoracoscopic endoscopic surgery and thoracic surgery.

In addition to his academic and surgical professional studies, he has a master's degree in the field of "Health Institutions Management" and has also held managerial positions such as Head of Cardiovascular Surgery Department at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Deputy Chief Physician, Istanbul University, Revolving Fund Management.

He is amateurishly interested in social sciences in medicine and in this sentence "Medical Humanities" and "Medical illustration".

He has more than 200 articles published in national and international journals, over 200 international scientific citations, various book chapters on different topics, over 150 scientific studies and speeches presented at various national and international meetings.

Dr. Gerhard Prager is a leading bariatric surgeon. He has performed over 3,000 bariatric operations using advanced techniques such as gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and biliopancreatic diversion. He serves as Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board for Bariatric Surgery at IFSO. Dr. Prager has played a key role in shaping international standards in obesity surgery.

Dr. Florian Fitzal is a senior physician at Vienna General Hospital and Vienna Medical University. He specializes in breast and abdominal surgery. He is a certified surgeon and holds a Master of Public Health (MBA). Dr. Fitzal leads the Breast Health Center. He also serves as Scientific Director of the Surgical Center of the Breast.

He is an auditor for the European Council of Surgeons. He is also a board member of the Austrian Breast Cancer and Colorectal Cancer Research Group.
