Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şeref Başal was born in 1971 in Kırıkkale and completed
his primary and secondary education in Kırıkkale. In 1984, he entered
Maltepe Military High School and graduated in 1988. He continued his
medical education at GATA Military Medical Faculty between 1988-1994
and graduated in 1994.
Following his graduation, he completed his internship at GATA Training Hospital in 1994-1995. He
served as chief infirmary physician at Siirt Gendarmerie Regional Command in 1995-1996 and Batman
Gendarmerie Regional Command in 1996-1997. Between November 2010 and November 2011, he
worked as a clinical fellow in Uro-oncology and received urologic robotic surgery training at Colombia
University Cancer Center in New York, United States of America. In October 2011, he completed his
training at Hackensack University Medical Center daVinci Training Center in the United States and
received the “Console Surgeon” certificate in robotic surgery.
In 2013, he was appointed as Associate Professor at Istanbul GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital
Urology Clinic and between September 2016 and October 2017, he continued this duty at SBU Sultan
Abdülhamit Han Training and Research Hospital Urology Clinic and worked as a docent faculty
member in SBU Urology Department. Between October 2017 and December 2018, he served as the
education officer at SBU Haseki Training and Research Hospital.
In July 2021, he retired as an Associate Professor at SBU Urology Department. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şeref
Başal, who has trained many experts and academicians in the field of urology, has many articles in
national and international journals in his field, has advanced surgical experience in his field, has
performed numerous surgeries related to his subject, has organized courses on this subject and has
participated in many courses as an instructor.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şeref Başal is fluent in English and thus able to communicate effectively in the
international medical environment.

Dr. Victor Alexander Krol - Chief of Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine and Obesity Treatment Center at Martinus Hospital
Dr. Victor Alexander Krol is a highly qualified specialist, heading the departments of gastroenterology and internal medicine. With many years of experience and deep knowledge in his field, Dr. Krol has established himself as an outstanding expert, providing patients with comprehensive treatment and an individual approach. He actively uses the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolism, as well as diseases of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
Dr. Krol is also the director of the certified Obesity Treatment Center at Martinus Hospital, which provides surgical and endoscopic treatments for obesity. The center uses advanced technology to diagnose and treat obesity (adiposis), including methods such as bariatric surgery, endoscopic weight loss, and specialized programs for patients with different stages of obesity. The center is certified to high standards and has excellent results in the treatment of this serious disease.
The Gastroenterology Department, headed by Dr. Krol, diagnoses and treats diseases of the stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. The doctors of the department use a wide range of methods, including endoscopic procedures, ultrasound, and other modern diagnostic technologies.
The Department of Internal Medicine covers a wide range of diseases, including cardiology, diabetology, infectology, and therapy of respiratory and renal diseases. Dr. Krol and his team provide a comprehensive approach to treatment using the most advanced methods of medicine.

Dr. Séverine Iborra is the Chief Physician of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Städtisches Klinikum Solingen. Her responsibilities include obstetrics, the delivery room, the neonatal unit, and gynecology. The department also includes the Senology/Breast Clinic at the Bergisches Breast Center Solingen, led by Dr. Manuela Seifert.
Dr. Séverine Iborra is originally from France. She began her medical studies at the University of Lyon and later transferred to Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, where she received her medical license in 2007. She earned her doctorate in 2008 for experimental research in molecular oncology. From August 2008 to November 2013, Dr. Iborra worked as a resident at the University Women’s Clinic in Freiburg. After passing her specialist exams in gynecology and obstetrics, she continued her career as a specialist at the same clinic. In November 2015, she moved to RWTH University Hospital Aachen as a senior physician.
At the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. E. Stickeler, Dr. Iborra led the obstetrics department from 2017 to 2019. Since December 2017, she was responsible for organizing education in the department, and in October 2019, she became the Managing Senior Physician and Personnel Senior Physician of the clinic, a position she held until she moved to Solingen.
In addition to her scientific work, with numerous publications and presentations at major gynecological conferences, Dr. Iborra deepened her medical specialties. She obtained certifications in oncological diagnostics and therapy from the Gynecological Oncology Working Group, as well as additional qualifications in Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (AGCPC), Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (AGUP), and the Professional Association of Gynecologists (BVF).
In 2019, Dr. Iborra successfully completed further specialization in “Gynecological Oncology” and “Special Obstetrics and Perinatal Medicine.” She is an active member of leading German medical societies in her field, including the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy Working Group, and the German Society for Prenatal and Birth Medicine.
