In 2007 he joined the Costa del Sol Hospital and left this position when he obtained an international scholarship that would take him back to San Francisco. In 2010 he moved to Japan to complete his training in the submucosal endoscopic dissection technique that he would later on introduce in Andalusia in 2011, thus becoming one of the pioneers in the performance of this technique in Spain. In 2011 he became the first medical professional in the world to use the 15-mm AXIOS stent in pancreatic fluid collection drainage. In 2018 he began to perform gastroenteroanastomosis with luminal apposition stent in patients with pancreatic cancer and bowel obstruction, thus becoming a pioneer in Andalusia to perform such technique.

He is a coauthor of the reference guides of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy on the endoscopic treatment of chronic pancreatitis and non-variceal gastrointestinal haemorrhage.

Dr. Victor Alexander Krol is a highly qualified specialist, heading the departments of gastroenterology and internal medicine. With many years of experience and deep knowledge in his field, Dr. Krol has established himself as an outstanding expert, providing patients with comprehensive treatment and an individual approach. He actively uses the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolism, as well as diseases of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.

Dr. Krol is also the director of the certified Obesity Treatment Center at Martinus Hospital, which provides surgical and endoscopic treatments for obesity. The center uses advanced technology to diagnose and treat obesity (adiposis), including methods such as bariatric surgery, endoscopic weight loss, and specialized programs for patients with different stages of obesity. The center is certified to high standards and has excellent results in the treatment of this serious disease.

Dr. Osman Aktas has been serving as a general surgeon at Ataşehir Avicenna Hospital since 2005. Born in Kayseri in 1960, he graduated with his medical degree from Ankara University in 1983. Following his graduation, he fulfilled his military service in medical units for two years. He completed his general surgery residency at GATA from 1986 to 1990. After specializing in general surgery, He held key positions as head of general surgery departments and chief physician in several prominent military hospitals, including Tatvan, Diyarbakır, Ankara, and Manisa.

Dr. Osman has had a special focus on endoscopic surgery since 1995. He received advanced training in laparoscopic surgery techniques in Germany and has successfully performed a wide range of laparoscopic procedures. His expertise extends to gallbladder surgery, abdominal wall and inguinal hernia repairs, appendicitis, reflux and stomach surgeries, as well as complex cases such as gastrointestinal tumors, intestinal obstructions, and various other intestinal diseases, all managed through minimally invasive methods.

In 2002, Dr. Osman transitioned to the private sector, where he broadened his practice to include modern treatments for anal diseases like hemorrhoids, fistulas, and fissures, utilizing advanced techniques such as laser therapy.

Dr. Osman is also recognized for his significant contributions to oncological surgery. He has a wealth of experience in the surgical treatment of various cancers, including breast and thyroid cancer, where he has implemented new treatment methods that reduce the risk of complications. His surgical expertise spans critical cancer surgeries, such as the Whipple procedure for pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer resections, gastric cancer, and other complex malignancies. Dr. Binnur Simsek is a gastroenterology specialist. She has experience in liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, hepatocellular carcinoma, liver transplantation, and viral hepatitis (B, C, Delta). She also treats alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s colitis.

She completed her medical and gastroenterology training at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Simsek has worked at Istanbul University, Sanlıurfa Education and Research Hospital, Liv Hospital, and Istinye University.
