The prof. Giuseppe Speziale holds the positions of the National Coordinator of Cardiac Surgery of GVM Care & Research, the Director of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Anthea Hospital and Città di Lecce Hospital, and Director of the Department of Cardiac Surgery of the Santa Maria Hospital. He works at the Cardiological Clinical Institute (ICC) and San Carlo di Nancy Hospital in Rome. Since 2011 he has also held the position of Vice President of GVM Care & Research. In 2012 he occupied the charge of President of Confindustria Puglia, Health Section, and since 2018 he is Vice President of Aiop Puglia (Italian association of private hospitals). The prof. Speziale is a cardiac surgeon specializing in the minimally invasive surgical treatment of valve diseases, expert in minimally invasive repair of the mitral valve, in On and Off Pump myocardial revascularization, in thoracic aortic surgery. He is Co - Founder and President of the Scientific Committee of Mitral Academy, an independent association born from the passion for mitral surgery and the desire to pursue and share excellence in restorative surgery, with particular attention to minimally invasive techniques and the evaluation of potential therapeutic treatments deriving from the use of new technologies. Until 2016 he was elected Director of the Italian Society of Cardiac Surgery. He is part of the following associations: AATS (American Association for Thoracic Surgery), Italian Society of Cardiology Accredited Hospital, SICOA (active member), ISMICS (International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery). Since 2004 he has held the position of Scientific Director of the Italian Cardiopathic Association onlus.

In the field of scientific research, he focuses on new approaches, applicable in the field of minimally invasive and non-invasive mitral, aortic, cardiac arrhythmias and tricuspid surgery. He was the coordinator and researcher of the various projects of the National Research Council on Myocardial Infarction, on the treatment of pulmonary hypertension, on new technologies for carrying out coronary, cardiopulmonary and normothermic bypass. He was an adjunct professor at the Sapienza University of Rome where he held the Chair of Cardiology II, and at the University of Ferrara, where he teaches Cardiac Surgery. He has presented numerous scientific papers at national and international congresses of cardiology and cardiac surgery.

He is an expert in cardiac arrhythmia, pacemaker implantation, internal defibrillators and catheter ablation; and he conducts diagnostic electrophysiological studies.

Assoc. Prof. Elif Evrim EKIN completed her education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine between and obtained the title of Medical Doctor. In 2003 she received her Radiology specialization from Izmir Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital, and also spent a year at the Ege University Department of Radiology. After obtaining her Radiology specialization, she worked at Bozüyük State Hospital and Private Eskişehir Sakarya Hospital from 2003 to 2014. Since 2014 she has worked at Istanbul Taksim Gaziosmanpaşa Training and Research Hospital for 10 years, where she obtained the title of Associate Professor in 2019, serving as the Education Coordinator and Administrative Responsible in the Radiology Education Clinic. She has published research articles in international SCI and SCI-E journals and has numerous national and international oral presentations and journal peer reviews. In 2020, she successfully completed the ‘Fundamentals of Good Clinical Practice’ training. Her special interests are musculoskeletal radiology and breast imaging.

Dr. Christoph W. Kopp is an Austrian cardiologist and angiologist with over 20 years of experience in interventional medicine. He has performed vascular interventions since 2001 and interventional cardiology since 2007. He has worked at Wiener Privatklinik since 2004, where he diagnoses and treats cardiovascular diseases.

He combines clinical work with research. He has contributed to international studies and publications and has introduced modern catheter‑based techniques. His expertise includes cardiology, angiology, and preventive medicine.

Dr. Cagdas Erdogan is a gastroenterologist at Ankara Etlik City Hospital. He trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He earned his MD from Dokuz Eylul University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency from 2014 to 2019. He then completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at Ankara City Hospital from 2019 to 2022. His clinical focus includes advanced endoscopy (ERCP, EUS, EMR, ESD, POEM, EGD, colonoscopy, double-balloon enteroscopy), inflammatory bowel disease, and hepatology.

Additional work covers outcomes with an adalimumab biosimilar and innovative endoscopic therapies (MCA via double-balloon enteroscopy, holmium laser for Bouveret syndrome, POEM for Zenker’s diverticulum, and ESD for esophageal papillomatosis).

Dr. Zuhal Cakmak Peksen is a Family Medicine Specialist since 2017. She earned her MD from Çukurova University in 2010. She completed specialty training at Yüzüncü Yıl University between 2013 and 2017. She is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in Health Management at Anadolu University (2024–present).

She has 15 years of clinical practice (2010–2025) across 8 institutions. Her experience includes research in Family Medicine (2013–2017) and work at several Family Health Centers. Since 2020, she has served at TOKİ Avrupa Family Health Center in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul.

He served as Professor of Cardiology at Seoul National University. He also served as Director of a cardiovascular center and Head of the Division of Cardiology. He was President of the Korean Society of Cardiology and led national heart failure and hypertension groups. He has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications.
