After becoming a general surgery specialist in 1996, I served as a General Surgery and Organ Transplantation Specialist at SSK (social insurance institution), for a period of 9 years. In 2005, was granted the title of Associate Professor-General Surgery. Between 2005 and 2012, I established the kidney transplant centers in İzmir Private Kent Hospital, Istanbul Private Gaziosmanpasa Hospital, and Medicalpark Goztepe Hospital respectively, and served as the chief executive of these centers.
I have worked in İzmir Private Kent Hospital since 2013. I established Obesity Clinic at Gazi Hospital, and performed more than 200 gastric reduction operations.

Born in Ankara in 1978, Dr. Umut R. Gündüz began his medical career at the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.
Later, he became a General Surgery Specialist at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital.
From 2011 onwards, they worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Antalya Training and Research Hospital.
In 2018, they became a Clinical Education Instructor. Dr. Umut Rıza Gündüz primarily focused on metabolic, breast, endocrine & other general surgeries.

Born in 1982 in Istanbul, Dr. Fatih Can Karaca completed his high school education at Bahçelievler Super High School in 2000 and then entered Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, graduating in 2006. During his medical training, he was a key player on the faculty's basketball team, winning the 14 March Medical Tournament twice.
In 2007, he began his residency in General Surgery at Istanbul University, developing a keen interest in laparoscopic surgery. He contributed to Turkey's first laparoscopic metabolic surgery for Type 2 diabetes at the Special Metabolic Surgery Clinic in 2009. He continued his education in metabolic surgery at Universal Hospitals’ Taksim German Hospital in 2011 and completed his residency in General Surgery in 2012.
From 2012 to 2014, Dr. Karaca worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Kanuni Sultan Suleyman Training and Research Hospital, followed by a role at a Metabolic Surgery Clinic in Şişli from 2014 to 2017. İlk ve orta öğrenimini Antakya’da tamamladıktan sonra 1997 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ne kabul edilerek Tıp eğitimine başladı. 2003 yılında Tıp fakültesinden mezun olduğu sene tıpta uzmanlık sınavını kazanarak Haydarpaşa Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’nde Genel Cerrahi asistanlığına başladı.
2008-2009 yıllarında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nin Houston kentinde MD Anderson kanser merkezi’nde ve Memorial Herrman hastanelerinde kanser cerrahisi ve organ nakli konularında eğitim aldı.
