После того, как врач ознакомился с отправленными данными, он сделал следующие заключения:
«Нам нужна некоторая информация, чтобы дать четкий комментарий этому пациенту. Во-первых, нам нужно увидеть отчет о проделанной операции и визуализацию брюшной полости (КТ или МРТ), узнать принимала ли пациентка химиотерапию раньше. В файле, отправленном с помощью wetransfer, имеются только изображения грудной клетки. Насколько я понимаю химиотерапия не проводилась, а у пациентов с перитонеальным карциноматозом приоритетным лечением должна быть химиотерапия, если нет таких чрезвычайных ситуаций, как непроходимость кишечника или кровотечение.
Комментарий, который я могу сделать исходя из предоставленных отчетов;
1. Если есть непроходимость кишечника, сначала необходимо открыть колостому, а затем начать химиотерапию,
2. Если у пациентки нет кишечной непроходимости и она никогда не получала лечения, сначала следует начать химиотерапию и заново оценить ее состояние через 3-6 месяцев,
3. Если была проведена химиотерапия, необходимо рассмотреть вариант циторедуктивной хирургии + HIPEK (с помощью радиологических исследований). После этого мы можем запланировать данный вид лечения.
Если у нас будет достаточно данных, будет правильнее принять решение о дальнейшем лечении вместе с врачом онкологом.».

- Surgery cost. “Heated chemo” is performed 1 time during the surgery. That means surgery price affects HIPEC cost.
- Doctor’s experience. If a doctor has huge experience, academic degrees, his services can be more expensive.

What are the benefits of HIPEC?
- Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy affects damaged tissues locally. It does not penetrate the common bloodstream and does not influence the whole body.
- Such a therapy kills cancer cells with high temperature. The heating damages the membrane and internal structure of malignant cells. It enforces the delivery of chemo to the necessary areas in the abdominal cavity.
- HIPEC drug can penetrate tumor tissue to 3 mm that helps effectively destroy cancer cells.
- A patient gets a dose of HIPEC once during the surgery.
- The combination of surgery and HIPEC therapy is more effective than these both treatments separately.
- This treatment improves the patient’s quality of life. Side effects after HIPEC are mild and not long-term compared to traditional chemotherapy.
