Lumbar interbody fusion (PSF)The primary goal of PSF is to stabilize the spine restoring a sagittal and coronal alignment when necessary.PSF can be performed by open surgery or minimally invasive surgery. According to surgical indication an interbody fusion (TLIF, PLIF) and/or decompression could be associated. Interbody fusion can be done through different surgical approaches (posterior, anterior, lateral).The ideal surgery and implant should be chosen based on anatomical, and pathological, factors minimizing complications.
