I’ve read a lot of negative reviews regarding the VIP health check-ups, respectfully I can understand everyone’s concerns surrounding the process of the checkup but for me it was a positive one.
If you are staying within 10km’s distance from the hospital they offer a free shuttle service to and from the hospital, but as I was a little further I made my own journey there. Upon arrival you are visually pleased with the entrance and lobby area of the hospital, which is spotless and looks more like a mall than a hospital.
You will then need to go upstairs to the ‘Check-Ups’ section of the hospital located on the first floor, where your registration will be completed and you will pay the remainder of your balance for the service.
Within a few minutes you are asked to come in for the first part of your tests which is the bloods, where you are also given plastic containers for your stool and urine samples which are needed after the Radiology and Ultrasound scans of your internal organs - which are all done within 20/30mins of your blood tests. Alongside this they do a full scan of your dental health.
You are then asked to go downstairs for your cardiovascular tests where you are scanned again with an Ultrasound and then your heart is stress tested on a treadmill alongside your blood pressure. You are then referred to a heart specialist who does an Ultrasound scan of your heart again and goes through in some detail the condition of your heart from the stress test results and Ultrasound scan.
After going back upstairs and giving your folder back to the Check-Ups reception you are then offered a complementary breakfast/lunch which is a decent menu that has most dietary options.
Almost immediately after this, you are then transferred to the ‘Ear, Nose & Throat Ophthalmology’ section of the hospital where they perform an eye test for you and if you need or have glasses they confirm your prescription.
After this, you are taken to the Urology department where the Doctor goes through your result's and gives some advice based on this.
The final part of the Check-Up was the consultation with the head doctor to discuss all your results in general and they will give you advice on any medication/supplements you should use for any health conditions you may have, if any.
Rest assured all the departments of the hospital are within 1 minute walking distance from each other.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the detail and speed of the service. The staff were generally professional and polite.

I have gone to hospitals across the world, including hospitals in Southeast Asia, Europe and America included.
And by far, I have received the best treatment, care, and support from Memorial Bahçelievler’s wonderful team of doctors, assistants, nurses, etc.
One of the best if not the best doctors are in this hospital, and they are all nice and thoughtful as well.
I don’t have a single complaint with Memorial Bahçelievler. Absolutely amazing service.

We came to Istanbul from America for the VIP Women’s check up at this hospital. Due to the reviews and popularity we had high expectations and I’m happy to say that they were exceeded. All of our concerns were addressed and the test were VERY thorough. Our translator/guide, Kardelen, made the experience even better. She was so friendly and helpful. We can’t say enough good things about Kardelen and the hospital experience

Do NOT be fooled by their polished ads and videos — the reality is completely different. They focus on making as much money from you as possible while doing only the bare minimum of actual work. Prices are inflated, and they push unnecessary tests while sometimes skipping important procedures you actually need.
Staff are rude, impatient, and unprofessional. Translators are terrible — they don’t guide you, don’t explain what you’ll be doing, and leave you confused about the next steps. Some procedures are rushed or skipped entirely.
We agreed on one thing over the phone, and they did something totally different. They should already know your information and what you’re doing, but they had no clue. They tried to charge me more for adults and later added an extra $200 for my kids. Scheduling was a nightmare — they couldn’t find my appointment, and we had to wait 4–5 hours for them to fix it, and even then it wasn’t fully resolved. They charged me as if it were my fault, blaming the person who initially spoke to me, when it was entirely due to their unprofessional work.
Even now, I still haven’t received my results translated or sent to me. When I try to contact them, they are unreachable.
Videos and social media posts showing the hospital as a “perfect place for full check-ups” are completely misleading. You have to pay extremely close attention, read everything carefully, and know exactly what you’re paying for.
If you value your health, your time, and your money, avoid this hospital. This is not the world-class care they advertise — it’s a business that prioritizes profit over patients.

Great overall experience at the hospital for a comprehensive male check up. Our interpreter Anka was amazing and kept me informed the entire time I was at the hospital either in person or on chat, even after-hours. It was a very streamlined experience with some wait times between tests, which is understandable and expected, but we completed the process ahead of schedule. The physicians I met were all very friendly and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. All staff were very nice. Facility is very clean and I can recommend the Memorial hospital for check-ups.
