How Much Does Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy Cost in Thailand?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy in Thailand typically costs from $900 to $2,100. The final price depends on the treatment area, physician expertise, and the specific technology used for platelet concentration. Patients save around 35% compared to the US, where the average cost is $2,300. Most Thai packages include the doctor fee, blood processing, and centrifugation.

  • Treatment area: Prices vary based on the volume of plasma required for hair, face, or joints.
  • Technology tier: Advanced processing kits like Regenlab or Arthrex ACP typically increase the session cost.
  • City variations: Medical hubs include Bangkok and Phuket, where high clinic density keeps pricing competitive.
  • Clinic infrastructure: Internationally accredited facilities, such as those with ISO or AABB certification, may charge premiums.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing specialized centers often provides better value than general hospitals. For instance, Menness Wellness Clinic offers focused PRP tubes for approximately $400. Meanwhile, premium packages at ID Clinic Bangkok run about $1,200 but include complex additions like Pico Laser. Look for clinics with AABB-certified labs or ISHRS-affiliated doctors to ensure the highest platelet quality and clinical safety.

If you're travelling to Bangkok and need fast and quality care, I would highly recommend using Bookimed to set up an appointment and going to B
Everything went so smoothly and I was well taken care of upon arrival. B. Care Medical Center is very clean and beautiful. The medical team were very professional and thorough and warm and welcoming. Prices were very reasonable and they went above and beyond to give me more treatment than I had asked for. Bookimed was also very easy to use, response time was quick and easy and all my questions were answered promptly. It was a terrible experience which I never want to go through again. Upon arrival at the hospital, the consultant , Jeab who led me there was not present to receive me. Instead I was attended by the medical sstaff who flatly shot down the agreed quotations offered by Jeab and even said they do not need the VDO anymore so they could not offer me what Jeab did and I was told I had to pay 3 times the proce of what I was offered before. Consequent to the price dispute, there were lots of bleak moments between the consultant and the medical staff internally then I was made to wait for over two hours then they suddenly reversed to ask for VDO compromised on an agreed price. I repeated said no to revealing my face for the VDO and the secretary Kimmy assured me my face will not be shown on camera. Prior to seeing the doctor, I was told to made payment first. For every doctor consultation, I had to go to the cashier to complete the payment and I was seeing two different doctors meant I had to repeat same process twice touring the entire medical centre so many times. What was most stupid was that I was never informed that I had to pay out of pocket for the Covid-9 test which I deem really unfair when there was konsixh prior information and they just dumped all the hidden cost on me. I only did the arm Vader+body tite along with pick laser for vaginal and I was made to go from building to building spending 7 hours there the entire day is really uncalled for!!!
The attending doctors are both very professional.
Medical staff lacks the professional etiquettes

I went to this clinic to get medical care. The very high price could be justified by this type of treatment. The medical team were present, but no parameters were taken either before or after the treatment. I don't think that customer satisfaction is the objective, the aim is above all to make people spend money unnecessarily. I would not recommend this clinic

I'm pleased I went there
Well it's been about a month and I'm still recovering but I'm pleased I went there.
The people were nice
What I didn't like wasn't to do with the place or people. I went through quite a painful procedure getting rid of rather a lot of moles and I almost wished I hadn't when I was in pain. It's all changed now that I'm healing.

FAQ about Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What conditions can PRP therapy treat in Thailand?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment in Thailand is used to treat a wide range of conditions, including joint pain (such as knee osteoarthritis), tendon and ligament injuries, muscle injuries, and chronic inflammation. It is also popular for hair restoration (PRP hair treatment) and cosmetic procedures like PRP facials for skin rejuvenation.

How do PRP injections work?

PRP therapy uses a small sample of the patient's blood, which is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. Doctors inject this plasma into targeted areas to stimulate healing and cell regeneration. The growth factors in platelets help repair tissue, reduce inflammation, and promote new collagen or hair growth.

How effective is PRP hair treatment for alopecia?

PRP hair treatment is effective for patients with androgenetic alopecia, especially in the early stages. Clinical studies show improvements in hair density and thickness after 3 to 4 sessions spaced a month apart. In one study, over 60% of patients experienced visible regrowth after PRP hair treatment.

What is a PRP facial, and how does it work?

A PRP facial, also known as a "vampire facial," involves applying platelet-rich plasma to the face, often after microneedling. The plasma stimulates collagen production, improves skin texture, and helps reduce fine lines and acne scars.

How many PRP sessions are needed for optimal results?

Most clinics in Thailand recommend 3 to 4 PRP sessions to see initial results. For long-term maintenance, follow-up treatments every 4 to 6 months are recommended. The exact number of PRP injections depends on the treated condition and how the body responds.

Are there any side effects or risks associated with PRP injections?

PRP treatments are low-risk, but mild side effects like temporary pain, swelling, or bruising at the injection site are common. Because PRP uses the patient's own blood, the chance of an allergic reaction is much lower than with other injectables.

Can PRP therapy be combined with other treatments like microneedling or hair transplants?

Yes, PRP therapy is often combined with microneedling to boost collagen production and improve skin texture. It’s also commonly used after hair transplants to support healing and enhance graft survival. Clinics in Thailand may offer PRP as part of combination packages for faster, more visible results.

Who is a good candidate for PRP therapy?

PRP therapy is suitable for people with early hair loss, joint pain, mild skin aging, or soft tissue injuries. It's often recommended for healthy individuals who want natural healing without medication or surgery. However, it's not advised for those with blood disorders, cancer, or active infections.

How do I find a reputable clinic for PRP treatment in Bangkok or Phuket?

Look for facilities with board-certified doctors and experience in PRP therapy for your specific condition. Check if the clinic uses FDA-approved equipment and sterile techniques. Verified patient reviews and international accreditations like JCI also help confirm quality.

What are the top clinics in Thailand offering PRP therapy?

Based on the Bookimed ranking, the top clinics for PRP treatment in Thailand are:

  • Menness Wellness Clinic – Bangkok, Thailand
  • ID Clinic Bangkok – Bangkok, Thailand
  • Menhance Clinic – Bangkok, Thailand

What is the level of medicine in Thailand?

Healthcare is the key development sector of the Thai government. The Thai authorities are convinced that care for the citizens' health should be an absolute priority of state policy and spend about 25 billion baht for healthcare annually.

As a result, 36,673 medical facilities provide excellent medical care in the country. 64 centers in the Kingdom have certificate of JCI (Joint Commission International), the international improver of healthcare quality and safety across the globe. The index of certificates obtained is the largest. To compare, Israel has 20 JCI-accredited facilities, and Germany — only 10 clinics of this type.

What hotel service is provided here?

In the Kingdom of Thailand, hotels of different price ranges and service levels are presented. The level of Thai hotels is comparable to hotels in Tunisia, Morocco or Egypt. Most tourists choose 4 and 5 star hotels with all-inclusive meals. Such hotels have everything for a comfortable stay: varied food, a large well-groomed territory, animation for children and adults. Some hotels have their own water park, which guests can use for free. Budget travelers can afford to book an economical 3-star hotel with half board or no meals at all.

When is the best time to travel to Thailand?

The main advantage of Thai resorts is the long beach season. On the east coast and west coast the climate features are different, so take it into account when planning the trip. The best time to travel is during the cool and dry season between November and early April. A large influx of tourists is in March-May, when the air temperature is +30°C.

Do I need a visa?

For now, the Kingdom of Thailand requires different visa regimens for diverse states. Some foreigners can stay in the country 60 days without visa control, some of them — only 14 days.

How long you can stay in Thailand and what countries can cross the border easy read here.
