Dr. Andrej Orságh is a gastroenterologist, certified in 2015. He has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute (NOÚ) since 2016. Since 2019 he has been the institute’s specialist consultant for colorectal cancer screening. He leads the colorectal cancer screening working group of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society. He is vice-chair of its Endoscopy Section and chair of its Oncology Section.
He graduated from Comenius University in 2009. He trained at the Gastroenterology Clinic of the University Hospital in Bratislava and at the Slovak Medical University. He shares his expertise at professional conferences and in publications. He also teaches basic and advanced endoscopic techniques in NOÚ courses.
Dr. Boris Pekárek is a gastroenterologist. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava in 2002. He worked at the Internal Medicine Clinic in Trnava from 2002 to April 2010. He obtained his specialization in gastroenterology in 2008.
Since April 2010, he has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute. He has led the department since 2017. He completed several specialized training courses abroad. He focuses on endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of early tumors of the esophagus, stomach, colon, and rectum.
He served as chair of the Oncology Section of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society from 2018 to 2024. He is the current chair of its Endoscopy Section and a member of the Society’s committee. He publishes, lectures at conferences, and trains basic and advanced endoscopic techniques in Slovakia and abroad.
Dr. Daniela Osuská is a gastroenterologist. She graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, in 2010. From 2010 to 2019 she worked as a secondary physician at the Internal Medicine Clinic of Nitra University Hospital. There she began performing endoscopies. Since 2019 she has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute. She earned her gastroenterology specialization in 2021.
She serves on the supervisory board of the Oncology Section of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society and the Section of Young Gastroenterologists. She publishes and presents her work in Slovakia and abroad. She also trains physicians in endoscopic techniques.
Dr. Juraj Letkovsky has been a gastroenterologist at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute (NOÚ) since 2017. He graduated in medicine in 2012 and earned a PhD in internal medicine in 2016. He obtained specialization in gastroenterology in 2018.
His practice focuses on advanced endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract tumors. He performs endosonography and ERCP for pancreatic and biliary diseases.
He serves on the Young Gastroenterologists, Endoscopy, and Oncology sections of the Slovak Gastroenterology Society. He is a co-author of an ongoing multicenter study on colonoscopy quality in Slovakia. He holds certificates in diagnostic and interventional esophagogastroduodenoscopy (2022) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (2023).
