How Much Does Nipple correction Cost in Thailand?

Nipple correction in Thailand typically costs from $600 / ฿20,400 to $600 / ฿20,400. The final price depends on whether the procedure is unilateral or bilateral, the technique used, and the clinic category. In the United States, patients pay around $4,500 / ฿153,000 on average. Thailand offers savings of approximately 78%. Most packages include the surgeon fee, anesthesia, post-operative medications, and follow-up consultations.

  • Nipple reduction: $1,300 / ฿44,200 to $2,000 / ฿68,000 for resizing the nipple area.
  • Inverted nipple surgery: $1,500 / ฿51,000 to $2,500 / ฿85,000 to release retracted tissue.
  • Areola reduction: Typically costs less than complex reconstruction when performed as a standalone procedure.
  • Location premium: Packages in Bangkok often include luxury amenities not found in smaller regional cities.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a high-volume center in Bangkok provides elite safety standards at mid-range prices. Hospitals like Bumrungrad International and Sikarin hold Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. This ensures global care standards for international patients. While basic clinics start around $600, premium facilities like Wansiri Hospital offer packages for approximately $1,850. These often include 5-star room stays and digitized medical monitoring. This balance of luxury and surgical expertise represents the best value in the region.

Everything went very easily, the case when you are dealing with highly qualified specialists
Hello everyone, There was a problem with gynecomastia in the left breast. I saw an advertisement from the “bookimed” campaign on the Internet, after which I read the reviews (which aroused confidence) and contacted “Bookimed”, the company's managers were sympathetic to my situation and coordinated with Elena who works at B.care medical clinic (in Bangkok) . Elena clearly and clearly explained how we can eliminate this problem, after which I came for a consultation, having done an ultrasound scan, sent blood tests and after consulting with Elena and a Thai surgeon, gynecomastia in the left breast was confirmed, it was decided to operate. I arrived at the clinic on the morning of the operation, Elena and a team of Thai nurses prepared everything clearly and after 2-3 hours the doctor began the operation under local anesthesia, the operation lasted 1 hour + -, everything was professional, Elena's support was present even during the operation (tk I didn’t sleep), after the operation, I spent one more day at the hospital in the clinic (the room is very comfortable, the conditions and communication from the staff are at a high level - shower, food, cleaning, Elena and nurses visit to control my condition). Everything went very easily, the case when you are dealing with highly qualified specialists. Elena, thank you for organizing and coordinating the preparatory, operational and postoperative working moments and for maintaining morale during the operation!

100% recommend this clinic
On 19.02.2025 I had breast augmentation surgery. Beforehand, I received a detailed consultation from professionals Dr Anychit Kitsombud, Dr Elena Goldobenko and nurse Maricor. The doctor helped with the choice of size and shape of implants, told me in detail about the operation, consequences, recovery process, gave clear recommendations. The surgery was easy, the medical staff was always in touch, they helped, cared. Dr Elena is always in touch, controls the recovery process, gives recommendations. Definitely, the choice of this clinic was the right decision for this operation. I am very happy with the result. 100% recommend this clinic. Professionalism, safety, care - B Care!

I'm still healing from my surgery but so far I'm very happy with the result and would recommend the hospital and clinic, and would like to reassure anyone going abroad that you'll be in good hands!
Had a rhinoplasty at B care hospital and the care the team provided was amazing. Just wanted to write this to reassure anyone looking into it, as my family were concerned about me heading out to Thailand to have the procedure as a lot of families would be. The hospital and clinic were sparkling clean. The co-ordinator, nurse and doctor were all just lovely and very attentive to my needs. There was no difficulty communicating with the doctor who went through exactly what would be done during the procedure. One thing I was happy about was the 2 nights in hospital - other places I looked at only gave you one night, or even home the same day. Being sleepy after the surgery, I wouldn't have wanted to go back to my accom the same day. I was grateful I had the lovely nurse Mariko looking after me. Also the room at the hospital was lovely - spacious and bright with a nice en suite and all the facilities you would need. I also realised I had tonsillitis on the day I left the hospital (I think I got it before I even had the surgery) and the team were very caring and made sure I had all the medications I needed for that too, before going back to my accommodation. I'm still healing from my surgery but so far I'm very happy with the result and would recommend the hospital and clinic, and would like to reassure anyone going abroad that you'll be in good hands! Bookimed were also really good at keeping in touch and my coordinator Marsela was patient while I took my time to decide if I was going to go ahead with the procedure in the first place, and was always there to answer any questions I had. All very much appreciated!

I am ecstatic with the results
Dr. Pyungtanasup was professional and did an incredible job. I am ecstatic with the results. The nurses were kind, helpful and gentle. The room was clean and comfortable. I was assisted whenever I needed and it made the first 24 hours much easier. I received antibiotics, painkillers, and anti-inflammatory medication which helped a lot when healing. Highly recommend Wansiri Hospital and the fantastic staff.
The nurses and the doctor were excellent. Very helpful and kind. The hospital has top-tier rooms and facilities.
The admin staff was a little slow. Keeping patients up-to-date with appointments and recovery progress is important. I also didn't enjoy the waiting time.
About Bookimed service
Bookimed recommended Wansiri Hospital and it was the perfect place for me. They also handled any issues and made the process more comfortable and stress-free. Grateful for their help.

But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️
Ice was one of the nurses who collected me from the airport. She was so kind for waiting nearly two hours for me due to a delay I had. She helped me so much after my surgery too. Another nurse Marge was wonderful. She helped with translation and my aftercare, she was so gentle when helping take out my stitches. I thank all of the nursing staff, they were all wonderful in their own way and treated me very well. I wish I could have spoken with the doctor more, he always seemed in a rush, I know he is a very busy man but if he could slow down just a bit it would help the patient care factor improve. But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️ I only took two pictures of the inside of my overnight room, the clinic was very clean and comfortable and beautiful 🙏
The staff and nurses were exceptional!
Not enough conversation with the doctor, he seemed in a hurry

I'm very impressed with the outcome
I'm very impressed with the outcome. Bookimed assistant was helpful and arrange a virtual consultation with the consultant. While English was not his strong fort, his expertise made up for it. The staff, especially Margi was extremely valuable as she speaks fluently English. Her knowledge and expertise was well appreciated as well as her care and attentiveness. The staff was nice. I did rhinoplasty and liposuction and I'll very impressed with the outcome. Post op care was provided. The nose did not hurt post op in comparison with the liposuction, which was quite uncomfortable. Not painful, numb and tender I suppose. As to the cost, it's fairly competitive.
The expertise
More English speakers would have been nice.

I had my surgery at B.care on Bukimed's recommendation. Before the surgery, I asked the doctor 3 times what complications there could be, but the interpreter and (assistant surgeon) "did not understand the question" said that there could be problems "ONLY if I do not do massage after surgery. After my breast augmentation, my pocket tore and my implant went down. The doctor told me to wear a rubber band from the post-operative underwear - on top, which provoked the breast drooping even more. Then I was taken to the breast correction, which was done under local anesthesia, just injected the breast with Ledocoin, cut the stitches, tightened and sewed back. It was very painful and I experienced a huge amount of stress that I still remember to this day. This kind of surgery should be under general anesthesia. After the correction, I have again lowered one breast, of course, not so much, but still, very ugly looks. Also initially the doctor placed the implants very low, because of this there is little volume on top, it looks like not round but drop-shaped implant (which does not fit my body type). All postoperative rules and recommendations and followed, wore underwear and massages. The doctor said that this is because I "lay on the chest" shifting the responsibility on me. But, to surf I was allowed in 2.5 months, and there you need to lie on the chest. I learned about the fact that you can not lie on the chest for a year, when I had a torn pocket. I do not recommend the clinic and the surgeon. Very disappointed.

Staff support on line and in person was outstanding
Dr was available to talk to prior to surgery. Staff support on line and in person was outstanding . Care following surgery was good. And response to follow up questions outstanding. My only concern was my lack of knowledge of the extent of the surgery and what would happen afterwards. Staff and Dr answered all my questions but it was the things I didn't ask and therefore didn't expect afterwards. It would be good to have a handout or link to webpage with some idea of what happens to your body afterwards and what to worry about or not. . This is especially the case when you are leaving the area afterwards.
Staff care and kindness
Not enough knowledge about what to expect afterwards

I am delighted that the scars are well hidden and now they are fading away
Dr has a lot of experience in breast implants, he removed my old implants together with capsulatomy and replaced them with new implants with very little scarring. I had waited two weeks to give a proper analysis of his work,, and am delighted that the scars are well hidden and now they are fading away.
Dr has many years of experience in doing implants and he had to remove my old implants and a capsulectomy procedure and putting in new implants with little scarring.

FAQ about Nipple correction in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Will I be able to breastfeed after nipple correction surgery?

Breastfeeding after nipple correction depends on the surgical method used and the severity of the inversion. Success is highly likely if a duct-sparing technique remains intact, allowing milk to flow. However, severe cases requiring duct division may permanently prevent lactation.

  • Surgical technique: Duct-sparing methods at JCI-accredited clinics preserve 80-95% of milk ducts.
  • Condition severity: Grade 3 inversion often requires cutting ducts, which significantly impacts future breastfeeding.
  • Milk production: Surgery rarely affects milk production but can block delivery if ducts are severed.
  • Nerve sensitivity: Temporary numbness might occur, potentially delaying the let-down reflex during nursing.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While general nipple correction starts at $600 in Thailand, patients planning to breastfeed should specifically request inverted nipple surgery, which averages $1,500. Data from B.Care Medical Center, which specializes in breast corrections, shows that specialized surgeons like Dr. Anuchit Kitsombat prioritize these functional outcomes over purely cosmetic results.

Patient Consensus: Many patients successfully breastfeed within weeks of delivery using duct-sparing techniques, though others warn that aggressive corrections involving full duct division can lead to a total loss of lactation.

Will I lose sensation in my nipples after the operation?

Most patients retain full nipple sensation after nipple correction in Thailand, as permanent loss is uncommon. Temporary numbness typically lasts 1 to 6 months during healing. Advanced duct-sparing and tissue-sparing techniques allow surgeons to reposition the nipple while protecting the underlying nerves and milk ducts.

  • Technique used: Duct-sparing methods prioritize nerve preservation to maintain long-term nipple sensitivity.
  • Recovery timeline: Normal sensation usually returns within 1 to 6 months post-surgery.
  • Risk factors: Sensation changes are rare but correlate with extensive tissue manipulation.
  • Specialized care: JCI-accredited clinics in Bangkok use microsurgical tools to minimize nerve trauma.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital and ID Clinic Bangkok report high success rates by utilizing tissue-sparing methods. While the US average for similar procedures is $4,500, Thailand offers these specialized nerve-preserving techniques starting from $600. This allows access to highly experienced surgeons who perform thousands of corrective procedures annually, which significantly reduces the clinical risk of permanent sensory loss.

Patient Consensus: Many patients experience temporary numbness or brief hypersensitivity during the first few months. They recommend tracking progress with daily sensation checks and confirming the use of duct-sparing techniques before booking.

What is the typical post-surgery recovery timeline?

Nipple correction recovery in Thailand typically allows patients to return to light activities within 3 to 7 days, with full healing achieved in 2 to 4 weeks. Most surgeons in Bangkok remove non-dissolvable stitches within the first week after the procedure.

  • Immediate post-op: Expect soreness, bruising, and swelling during the first 48 to 72 hours.
  • Work return: Most patients resume desk jobs or light travel within 4 to 7 days.
  • Physical activity: Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for at least 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Final results: Swelling subsides by week 4, though final shape settles within 1 to 3 months.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many expect a quick recovery, Thailand’s top plastic surgeons often suggest staying in-country for 5 to 10 days. This allows for professional stitch removal and immediate post-operative monitoring. Clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital maintain a 0% complication rate by strictly following these extended initial observation protocols.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize packing loose clothing and nipple protectors for the first week. They highlight that while initial soreness is intense, sensitivity usually normalizes by the second month.

What does the Thai surgery package usually include?

A Thai nipple correction surgery package typically includes the surgical procedure, anesthesiologist fees, and local or general anesthesia. Most clinics bundle pre-operative screenings, 1 night of hospitalization, and basic post-operative medications like painkillers and antibiotics to ensure a safe initial recovery period.

  • Medical fees: Covers surgeon, nursing staff, and anesthesiology team professional service charges.
  • Pre-op diagnostics: Includes essential blood work and physical evaluations before the procedure starts.
  • Post-op care: Provides 1 to 3 follow-up visits for suture removal and healing checks.
  • Clinical facilities: Grants access to JCI-accredited operating theaters and private recovery rooms.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many expect luxury extras, Thai packages often prioritize clinical time over logistics. Some high-volume clinics like B.Care Medical Center exclude airport transfers to keep surgical costs low. Always confirm if specialized compression garments are included, as these are often sold as separate medical supplies.

Patient Consensus: Patients recommend requesting an itemized list of discharge instructions in English before the surgery. They often suggest budgeting an extra 20% for unlisted items like specialized scar gels or custom compression vests.

Can nipple correction be performed together with other breast procedures?

Nipple correction is frequently performed alongside other breast procedures in Thailand to achieve balanced results with one recovery period. Surgeons commonly combine nipple reduction or inverted nipple repair with breast augmentation, lifts, or reductions to ensure the areola remains proportional to the new breast shape.

  • Procedure integration: Surgeons often adjust nipple size during mastopexy to correct stretching or asymmetry.
  • Anesthesia requirements: Combined surgeries typically require general anesthesia, whereas standalone nipple correction uses local.
  • Recovery benefits: Combining procedures minimizes total downtime and lowers costs compared to scheduling separate operations.
  • Safety protocols: Specialized centers like Asia Cosmetic Hospital perform surgery under anesthesiologist and cardiologist supervision.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data suggests a strategic advantage in choosing Bangkok for combined cases. Clinics like ID Clinic Bangkok report a 95% success rate for breast lifts, which frequently include nipple repositioning. While standalone nipple surgery costs $600 to $1,400, bundling it with a major procedure can lead to significant savings of up to 78% compared to US averages.

Patient Consensus: Patients value the convenience of addressing multiple concerns at once to avoid repeated travel. Many emphasize that choosing English-speaking staff is essential for clarifying specific expectations regarding nipple placement and future breastfeeding.

How long should I plan to remain in Thailand after nipple correction?

Plan to remain in Thailand for 10 to 14 days after nipple correction to ensure proper healing and travel safety. While minimum stays of 7 days are possible, surgeons typically require multiple follow-up visits and suture removal between day 5 and day 14 before clearing you for long-haul flights.

  • Follow-up schedule: Mandatory clinical check-ups usually occur on days 3, 5, and 10 post-surgery.
  • Suture removal: Non-dissolvable stitches are typically removed between 5 and 14 days after the procedure.
  • Flight safety: Staying 10 days reduces risks from cabin pressure, which can worsen post-operative swelling.
  • Activity restrictions: Most patients return to light activities after 7 days but must avoid heavy lifting.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While basic nipple correction starts at $600, combining it with other breast surgeries extends your stay to 21 days. Data from high-volume centers like Asia Cosmetic Hospital shows that staying near the clinic for the first 7 days is vital. This proximity allows immediate access to surgeons like Dr. Tanongsak Panyawirunroj if minor swelling adjustments are needed before your departure.

Patient Consensus: Patients suggest 10 days is the ideal timeframe to feel comfortable and secure before flying. Many recommend staying within 15 minutes of the clinic to make early post-op visits stress-free while managing initial bruising.
