Laser mole removal in Turkey: Your Travel Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Turkey
  • You should ensure you have all necessary documents, including your passport and any medical records related to your moles, upon landing.
  • Check into your accommodation and rest. You may have a busy schedule in the coming days.
  • If you have scheduled transportation, confirm your pickup time for the clinic visit.
  • Hydrate well and avoid alcohol to keep your body in optimal condition for medical consultations.
Day 2: Consultation and Examination
  • You need to attend your scheduled consultation at the clinic. This is crucial for the dermatologist to examine your moles using a dermatoscope.
  • The consultation fee varies. For example, Memorial Antalya Hospital charges $150 for this initial examination.
  • Discuss any concerns or questions you have about the laser mole removal procedure with the dermatologist.
  • Based on the examination, the dermatologist will determine if the mole can be removed using laser treatment.
  • Understand the potential for scarring and discuss post-procedure care to minimize this risk.
Day 3: Procedure Day
  • If the dermatologist confirms that laser mole removal is appropriate, the procedure will be scheduled. It typically involves local anesthesia for comfort.
  • The procedure is generally quick, around 15 minutes per mole, as noted by Liv Hospital Ulus.
  • You should follow any pre-procedure instructions given by the clinic, such as avoiding certain medications or skincare products.
  • After the procedure, you may experience some redness or swelling, which is normal.
  • The clinic will provide specific aftercare instructions to aid in healing and reduce scarring.
Day 4: Recovery and Follow-up
  • Rest and avoid strenuous activities to facilitate healing.
  • Keep the treated area clean and follow any additional care instructions provided by the clinic.
  • If stitches were placed, they may need to be removed after 7 days, as mentioned by Liv Hospital Ulus.
  • Monitor the treated area for any signs of infection or unusual changes. Contact the clinic if necessary.
  • Plan a follow-up visit if recommended by your dermatologist to assess the healing process.
Day 5-6: Leisure and Monitoring
  • Use these days to explore Turkey if you feel comfortable, but prioritize your health and recovery.
  • Continue to monitor the treated area for any changes and adhere to the aftercare routine.
  • Stay in contact with the clinic if you have any concerns or questions about the healing process.
Day 7: Final Follow-up and Departure Preparation
  • Attend any final follow-up appointments to ensure the treated area is healing properly.
  • Discuss any long-term care tips with your dermatologist to maintain skin health.

My daughter and I had a mole removed at this clinic! I never saw the doctor in the eyes, I thought after the operation he would come in to find out our condition, however, young specialists came in! I’m not even sure now whether that professor or others did the operation. Special! I wrote down so many questions that worried me, but ... On the scheduled date, the operation was not performed, as the Doctor went home they said! They promised to send the tests to Votsap or by mail, but the translators and consultants on the site who ignore them do not answer ... Something like that!
