How Much Does Vagus nerve stimulation Cost in Turkey?

Vagus nerve stimulation in Turkey typically costs from $12,000 to $18,000. The final price depends on the device model, such as standard or smart generators, and the patient's specific neurological condition. In the US, similar procedures cost around $47,500 on average. Turkey offers savings of around 68%. Most packages include neurosurgeon consultations, pre-operative testing, hospitalization, and VIP airport transfers.

  • Device technology: Advanced smart generators can increase the total cost by 20-30% compared to standard models.
  • Clinical destination: Major medical hubs for this procedure include Istanbul, Ankara, and Antalya.
  • Facility tier: JCI-accredited hospitals often charge a premium for specialized neuromodulation units and advanced monitoring.
  • Package inclusions: Comprehensive bundles often feature 4 to 7 days of full-board hospitalization and language assistance.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a hospital with JCI accreditation ensures global safety standards for complex neurosurgery. Memorial Şişli Hospital was the first in Turkey to reach this milestone. High-value packages, like those at VM Medical Park Pendik Hospital, typically run about $32,000. These include extended 7-day hospital stays and full board. This is ideal for international patients requiring longer post-operative programming and stabilization.

Dr Sait has worked wonders
On the 18th he underwent surgery with a vagus nerve stimulator on the 25th and it was connected. Dr Sait has worked wonders. Daytime seizures are very rare but nighttime seizures have changed completely. I am 35 years old and so far only the first connection 0.25 paediatric dose and 5 more connections. Thank you to the neurologist Dr Yemmir who agreed to treat me. For all my years my encephalogram is finally normal. I am from abroad. I don't live in Istanbul. But I thank the whole clinic, all the doctors, all the interpreters, all the staff.
