If you’re considering a deep SMAS facelift, my main piece of advice is to take great care when choosing the clinic itself. Personally, I was very impressed by the doctor and the staff. Before the operation, the surgeon marked out the incision lines and examined me personally afterwards. The coordinator was also in constant contact. My operation involved the neck and lower face, plus lipofilling under general anaesthetic. At the moment, I feel pretty much as I expected. There were no additional costs. However, my overall impression of the clinic is average, which is why my overall rating isn’t very high. So my main advice to future patients is to find out more about the clinic in detail!
The coordinator was always available. No bruising at all – it’s even a bit suspicious; I’m not sure what treatment I actually had. Perhaps it was SMAS rather than deep plane.
The consultation with the doctor took place in his office, not at the clinic! The operation was carried out at the old city hospital! The doctor said very little about the operation, and particularly about the risks! There were far more incisions and stitches than had been agreed during the consultation!

What I feared most was a long and painful recovery. I was worried that the swelling would last for months. But it’s only been 15 days since my deep SMAS facelift, and the swelling along my jawline is already minimal – it’s almost gone. The improvement in the jowl area is simply striking. My neck feels a little tight when I turn my head, but it’s quite bearable. The staff and my surgeon were very supportive. Perhaps the hardest part of the recovery was sleeping in an elevated position. My main advice for anyone considering this operation: be patient!

I’m giving five stars for Dr
I’m giving five stars for Dr. Ianus’ work because his surgical work is truly remarkable. Dr. Ianus is kind, gentle, extremely professional, and meticulous in everything he does. The person who supported me through BookMed was Tetiana, and she was absolutely flawless. From the very beginning, I felt guided and safe.
From Dr. Ianus’ team in Istanbul, Lara was the one assisting me — and she is a very warm, empathetic person who was always available to help with whatever I needed. I also want to highlight the hotel offered by the team, Modus Hotel. The staff there were very helpful and attentive, especially after I returned from surgery. Even though I traveled alone, I could count on their kindness and support throughout.
That said, I want to leave a sincere piece of advice: if you’re planning to have a more extensive surgery — like I did (involving multiple areas) — be aware that the first two days can be quite challenging, both physically and emotionally. In such cases, I strongly recommend that you are not alone at the hospital. Having someone with you can make a big difference.
With this, I leave my heartfelt recommendation, full of gratitude and respect. Dr. Ianus is an excellent surgeon, Tetiana and Lara are wonderful people, and although the journey had its challenges, everything was handled with great professionalism

My Experience at Dr. Med’ Clinic
The team was absolutely wonderful. The surgery went smoothly, and I’m truly grateful to Dr. Yunus, all the clinic staff, and especially Dr. Yunus and Akylay. Everything was organized professionally, with care and efficiency.
I underwent a deep plane facelift and neck lift, as well as upper and lower blepharoplasty. Overall, I am very satisfied with both the results and the service.
My only suggestion would be this: for such major plastic surgeries, the patient should ideally stay at the clinic for at least 3 days under medical supervision. This is essential for proper recovery and peace of mind.
Also, I would prefer that Dr. Yunus personally performs the bondage changes, as he does them best — and it noticeably speeds up the healing process.
Aside from that, everything was top-notch: the team is responsive, caring, and highly professional. Thank you all for your care and excellent work!
I really appreciated the staff’s efficiency — their ability to respond quickly to my needs, react promptly to my messages, and show genuine care, empathy, and commitment to my smooth recovery and overall experience.
What I didn’t like was that the consultation took place on the same day we arrived. It was exhausting, as we were sleep-deprived, tired, and unable to fully process the information the doctor was giving us. It was an unpleasant experience.
We had booked our flight based on a recommendation from the Doctor-Med clinic’s sales department.
Another thing that disappointed us was being hospitalized for only one day — we had to extend the stay ourselves for the second day.
I strongly believe that after such serious surgeries, the patient should be hospitalized for at least two days for proper medical supervision and recovery.
