Specialization and Neurological Approach

The specialist focuses on chronic pain, neurodegenerative diseases, and movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease. She has developed expertise in treating complex forms of epilepsy and muscular dystrophy. Dr. Altindag uses diagnostics including video–EEG monitoring — a test that records brain activity and physical behavior. She also uses brainstem evoked response audiometry to measure how the brain processes sound.

Her approach combines clinical neurology with subspecialty training in clinical neurophysiology to treat multiple sclerosis and headaches. Clinical neurophysiology involves using electrical tests to evaluate the function of the nervous system.
