Dr. Ilana Schlesinger is a renown Israeli neurologist, specializing in treatment of movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Schlesinger graduated from the Medical School at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and continued her education in the USA (at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts).

Nowadays Dr. Ilana Schlesinger holds a position of Director in the Movement Disorders Center at the Department of Neurology at Rambam Medical Center.

Dr. Schlesinger receives patients with severe form of Parkinson’s disease and applies innovative treatment methods, including Deep Brain Stimulation procedure.

In 2010 Dr. Schlesinger made an experiment, subsequently successful, in the using of guided imagery to tame the tremors of patients with Parkinson’s. It was the first time in healthcare history in completely stopping tremors without any drugs.
