Dr. Thongrong collaborates with international centers to adopt robotic rehabilitation standards. In 2025, he studied clinical robotics at Asia University Hospital in Taiwan. He also observed manufacturing at HIWIN Technologies Corp. in Taiwan. The doctor toured Singaporean facilities, including Tan Tock Seng Hospital, to observe geriatric VR applications. Additionally, he visited Ren Ci Community Hospital, Yishun Community Hospital, and NTUC Health Active Ageing Centre.
He serves as the Principal Investigator for a pilot randomized controlled trial on exoskeleton gait training. This study examined subacute stroke patients and was presented to the Royal College of Physiatrists of Thailand. He also presented research on the correlation between drawing skills and surgical skills at the 17th Ottawa Conference in Perth, Australia.
