Since 2010 he has been specializing in general surgery at the Endoscopic, Metabolic Surgery and Soft Tissue Tumors Clinic of the University Hospital in Krakow. Author and coauthor of numerous scientific papers published in national and international medical journals. In 2014 he received his doctorate. Prof. Major's interests are towards minimally invasive surgical techniques and surgical treatment of morbid obesity. In his career he performed over 1600 bariatric procedures (i.e. laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, revision procedures) and ca. 1,100 other laparoscopic procedures. His experience and impeccable quality is confirmed by very low post-surgery infection rate.
