Dr. Second Lieutenant Thanasate Roongjiraroj is an internist with fellowships in Endocrinology & Metabolism (2022) and Ambulatory Medicine (2023). He earned his M.D. from Thammasat University. Research: He published two papers in the Journal of the Endocrine Society in 2022. The topics were BIA–DXA body fat correlation and liraglutide increasing IL‑1RA in obese type 2 diabetes. He also wrote book chapters in 2024–2025 on pregnancy care, diabetes pharmacotherapy, and dyslipidemia.
Quality and safety: He led a Lean-based redesign of preoperative care. The project won First Prize at the Army Hospitals Quality Improvement Forum on December 4, 2025. His roles include Deputy Risk Management Officer and member of the hospital strategy committee and the national ICD coding committee.
