Professor Wetterauer has been involved in urology and andrology for 47 years. He completed an internship in America (San Francisco) and the German Albrecht University. He is the chairman of the working group on andrology in the German urological community. Since 2005, he has been the managing director of the Freiburg surgical clinic. In 2001, he took over as chief physician of the urological department.
