To prevent numbers in text from being perceived as phone numbers, you can format the numbers as follows. This process does not change the overall structure of the text, but it does change the perception:

• You can add spaces or dashes for the years : For example, 1983-1990 → 1983 - 1990 or 1983–1990.
• You can add periods for numbers that can be interpreted as phone numbers : For example, 2008-2010 → 2008.2010 or 2008/2010.
