Dr. Tarık Akar is an experienced internist. He graduated from Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine, Istanbul University in 2000. He completed his specialty training in 2004. Dr. Akar has published 19 international and 6 local papers. He has also presented 25 papers at medical congresses. These achievements show his strong contribution to medical science.

Dr. Akar specializes in advanced endoscopic procedures. These include POEM for achalasia, ESD for early-stage gastrointestinal cancers, and ERCP for bile duct disorders. He also performs Z-POEM for Zenker’s Diverticulum and G-POEM for gastroparesis. He has received awards such as Best Verbal Presentation and Best Poster at the 7th International Gastrointestinal System Cancers Congress.

Dr. Mustafa Solak is a medical oncologist with expertise in breast, testicular, ovarian, lung, head-neck, and gastrointestinal cancers. He graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine. Assoc. Prof. Kıvanç Derya Peker is a surgeon with expertise in pancreatic, gallbladder, liver, and stomach surgeries. He also specializes in obesity and metabolic surgery, as well as kidney transplantation. He completed his medical and surgical training at Istanbul University. He ranked among the top three in the national minor specialty exam for gastroenterological surgery.

Dr. Peker has performed over 400 pancreatic and gastric cancer surgeries and more than 200 liver surgeries. He has also completed many gallbladder, biliary tract, obesity-metabolic procedures, and kidney transplants. He received training at the Mayo Clinic. He co-founded the Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery unit at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Hospital. There, he provided advanced training to surgical residents.

Dr. Suleyman Hilmi Aksoy was born in 1974. He graduated from Istanbul University Çapa School of Medicine in 1998. He completed his residency in Radiodiagnostics and Interventional Radiology at Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine in 2002.

He has given oral and written presentations at 13 local and international congresses. Dr. Aksoy specializes in Diagnostic Radiology, Teleradiology, and Interventional Radiology. He has made important contributions in these areas.

Prof. Dr. Engin Tutar was born in Istanbul in 1964. He completed his primary and secondary education at Istanbul Erkek Lisesi between 1975 and 1982, and graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1988. In December of the same year, he started his specialization in the Department of Pediatrics at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital, becoming a specialist in Pediatrics in February 1993. He completed his subspecialty training in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, becoming a subspecialist in 2006. He served as the Assistant Chief Physician and Acting Chief Physician at the 2nd Pediatric Clinic of Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital between 2010 and 2012. In May 2012, he transferred to Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, where he became an Associate Professor in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in 2014, and a Professor in 2020. Alongside his international and national article authorships, he has given over 50 presentations at congresses/courses/association meetings. He retired in May 2024 while serving as the head of the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition department at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. As of June 2024, he is accepting patients at Hisar Hospital Intercontinental.
