Dr. Mehmet Cemil Uygur is a respected urologist with expertise in uro-oncology and robotic urologic surgery. He earned his M.D. from Hacettepe University Medical School. He completed a research fellowship at Helsinki University. He also received advanced training in robotic surgery at Vanderbilt University Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Uygur has published over 300 articles in national and international journals. His work has received 781 scientific citations across 41 articles, and he has an h-index of 18. He is a full member of the European Association of Urology and a corresponding member of the American Urological Association. He also serves on the board of the Turkish Society of Urologic Oncology.
He is currently Professor and Chair of Urology at Near East University Medical School. Dr. Uygur is also Chief of Urology and Director of the Urooncology and Robotic Surgery Programs at Anadolu Medical Center, which is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine.
