Experience
On his return from London, he organized and directed the Arrhythmia Unit of the Cardiology Service of the Nuestra Señora del Pino University Hospital in Las Palmas until the year 2000.
Later he was associate head of the Arrhythmia Unit and Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory of the Fundación Jiménez Díaz in Madrid.
Professor of Cardiology at the Autonomous University and Fellowship Program Director of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (Heart Rhythm Society) positions that he held for 6 years until his transfer to the Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital in 2006.
Dr. Cabrera has been the head of the Cardiology service at the Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital since the hospital began operating in 2006.
Since January 2013, he is also head of the Cardiology Unit of the Ruber Juan Bravo Hospital Complex and in 2022 head of service of the new Olympia center.
He is a professor at the European University of Madrid where he directs the Chair of Clinical and Basic Translational Cardiology.

Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada. He completed his post-graduate training as an interventional cardiologist in the Arrhythmia Unit (cardiac Electrophysiology laboratory) of the Fundación Jiménez Díaz in Madrid since 1994 -1996.
Senior Research Fellow. at the National Heart & Lung Institute. Royal Brompton. Paediatric Cardiac Morphology under the direction of Prf. Robert H Anderson in London (UK) during the year 1997.
Doctor with a degree in medicine and surgery from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Cardiovascular Surgery specialization from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Has experience in pediatric cardiac surgery in various hospitals in Spain and the US, and has published more than 100 articles in international and national journals.
