Prof. Dr. Engin Tutar was born in Istanbul in 1964. He completed his primary and secondary education at Istanbul Erkek Lisesi between 1975 and 1982, and graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1988. In December of the same year, he started his specialization in the Department of Pediatrics at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital, becoming a specialist in Pediatrics in February 1993.
