Dr. Castaño currently works in the field of Functional Urology at the CES University Clinic in Medellin Colombia. He completed his residency in urology at the same University in 2005. He has been working on educational projects for the Colombian Society of Urology in the Department of Urodynamics and Incontinence (former director 2013/2015) and also served as Director in the Urodynamics, Pelvic Floor and Incontinence working group of the American Confederation of Urology between 2014 and 2018.

He is currently an active member of the Neuro-Urology promotion committee and the neuro-urology school of the International Continence Society (ICS).

In addition to general urology, his field of action focuses mainly on the treatment of men and women with functional and anatomical alterations of the lower urinary tract and who present with urinary incontinence (stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and urinary incontinence after prostate surgery) or urinary retention (prostate growth, functional obstruction of the lower urinary tract, urethral stricture).

Born in 1978 in Istanbul, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Gökhan ATIŞ completed his medical degree at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Medicine in 2002. Following his military service at Edremit Military Hospital, he began working at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital in 2009.

In 2011, he received training in laparoscopic and robotic urology at Heidelberg University’s Heilbronn Clinic. Between 2009 and 2014, he conducted numerous scientific studies, especially in the field of endourology, earning the title of Associate Professor in 2014.

Since 2017, he has served on the board of the Endourology Society. In 2007 he joined the Costa del Sol Hospital and left this position when he obtained an international scholarship that would take him back to San Francisco. In 2010 he moved to Japan to complete his training in the submucosal endoscopic dissection technique that he would later on introduce in Andalusia in 2011, thus becoming one of the pioneers in the performance of this technique in Spain.
