Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkam Kömürcü is an experienced orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in orthopedics and traumatology. He has been board-certified by the Turkish Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (TOTEK) since 2010. He earned the title of Associate Professor in 2015.

Dr. Kömürcü has strong expertise in hand and upper extremity injuries, spine surgery, sports injuries, pediatric orthopedics, and musculoskeletal tumors. He completed clinical fellowships, including one at the UCLA Spine Center. He has published over 35 international peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. His work has made a significant impact on orthopedic literature.

He is an active member of several professional societies, such as the Turkish Spine Society and the Turkish Society of Sports Injuries. Dr. Kömürcü has also held important academic and administrative positions. He has trained many medical students and residents.

Since 1978, scientific and practical activity in the field of orthopedic pathology (pathophysiology of scoliosis and scoliotic deformations of the spine and chest, vertebrology). The first scientific publication on vertebrology in 1980.

1980 – graduation from the medical faculty of the Kyiv Medical Institute.

1981 to 1984 Anesthesiologist-resuscitator. Scientific and practical work in the field of treatment of pain syndromes and vegetology, use of stimulation of nerve trunks and reflexogenic zones, acupuncture, manual medicine, non-surgical treatment of scoliosis, physical rehabilitation.

Since 1984 and up to the present moment, he has been professionally engaged exclusively in practical and scientific problems of diseases of the spine and joints, vertebroneurology, neurology, traumatology-orthopedics, rheumatology.

1984 – employee of the laboratory of problems of osteochondrosis of the spinal column of the university research laboratory center* (Academician A.A. Bogomolets National Medical University). Scientific and practical activity in the field of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of pathology of the musculoskeletal system (spine, joints, muscles) and nervous system.

1990 - defense of a candidate's dissertation on neurological disorders in spinal pathology " Early segmental neurological manifestations of osteochondrosis of the thoracic spine " (specialty - neurology)

1994 - defense of a doctoral dissertation on the mechanisms of formation of neurological pathology in spinal pathology (vertebroneurology) “ Mechanisms of formation of vertebral neurological pathology in the case of functional blockage of the spinal rox segments ” (2 specialties: neurology and traumatology-orthopedics)

Since 1995 – Professor of the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine of the National Medical University named after Academician A.A. Bogomolets.

1995 Founded the first clinic of Vertebroneurology in Ukraine, head of the department of vertebroneurology at the Central City Clinical Hospital of Kiev - the clinical base of the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine of the National Medical University.

2004 Established the diagnostic department of the Vertebroneurology Clinic.

2011 Established the Ukrainian Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine and Neurology based on the Meddiagnostika Center.

Ph.D. Andrzej Suwara / Orthopedist 

Doctor Andrzej Suwara began his medical studies at the Medical University of Białystok. He obtained the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences after defending his PhD thesis in Neuropharmacology at the Medical University of Białystok.

Dr. Andrzej Suwara obtained specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System and thanks to this he started working at the Orthopedics Department of the district hospital in Starachowice. Then he started working in the Department of Traumatic Surgery of the Musculoskeletal System and Adult Orthopedics of the Independent Public Clinical Hospital. Prof. Adam Gruca in Otwock. Thanks to his knowledge and experience, he became the Head of the Traumatology and Orthopedics Department of the Praski Hospital in Warsaw and the Medical Director of this hospital.

His skills were appreciated thanks to international cooperation with prof. Derek McMinn, the creator and popularizer of hip joint capoplasty, and prof. Siegfried Hofmann, former head of the Orthopedics Clinic in Stolzalpe Austria.

Doctor Andrzej Suwara constantly improves his qualifications and participates in many training courses both in Poland and around the world. He completed specialized international training, including: at the University Hospital of Martin in Slovakia, BMI Edgbaston Hospital Birmingham in the UK, Keble College Oxford in the UK, Zimmer Institute in Denmark, Corin Academy in Germany, DePuy Synthes Instytute in Germany, American Academy of Orhopaedic Surgeons in Las Vegas, Tygerberg Department of Anatomy Stellenbosch University in South Africa and many others.

Dr. Ozgur Cicekli is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology. He focuses on sports injuries, joint-preserving surgery, arthroplasty, and orthopedic trauma. He is known for his skills in advanced surgical methods. Dr. Cicekli has also published more than 10 articles in international medical journals.

He is a member of the Turkish Society of Sports Injuries, Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery since 2018. He also belongs to the Federation of Turkish Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology since 2012. Dr. Cicekli received his Orthopedics and Traumatology Qualification Certificate in 2014. He often attends advanced training courses both in Turkey and abroad.
