Thanks to the professor and his team, the department has been modernised by introducing modern surgical methods of treatment and especially improved methods of post-operative recovery. Professor Burhan Mayir isespecially interested in metabolic and bariatric surgery, also. He performs single port (scarless) sleeve gastrectomy, gastric by pass procedures and revisional bariatric surgeries. He has experience about metabolic-bariatric surgery, gastro-esophagus reflux surgery, endoscopic thyroid surgery (scarless thyroidectomy), cancer surgery, hernia surgery, adrenal gland surgery, other gastrointestinal surgical procedures, liver surgery, spleen surgery, hemorrhoid surgery and anal fissure surgery. He has speeches in various congresses and meetings, over 60 articles published in national and international refereed journals, and over 100 abstracts presented at congresses.

Dr. Freygant is the head of the General Surgery Department, where general and oncological surgery procedures are performed using modern techniques and methods. The department specializes in gallbladder, hernia and varicose veins surgeries. Hernia surgeries are performed using a tension-free method using a plastic mesh, in accordance with the standards of modern surgery.

Mr. Aly has a busy general surgery practice that includes both elective surgeries, such as hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery, and upper GI endoscopy. His emergency surgery work includes appendicitis, bowel obstructions, obstructed hernias and other acute abdominal conditions.Mr. Aly trained extensively in prestigious institutions across the UK, including the University of Cambridge, and he completed advanced training at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, one of the UK’s highest volume complex Upper GI centres.In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Aly is actively involved in surgical research.
