First of all i want to start my review by saying that I was so scared to travel for Plastic Surgery; yet I wanted to trust my instincts and get my surgery done by Dr.Ilker Manavbasi in Istanbul, Turkey. I had been watching previous reviews, his youtube channel and the procedures he had done and i was driven to him instantly. This was the best decision I could have made as he did an amazing job! I contacted bookimed and requested Dr. Manavbasi service through them, and i can confirm that their replies were instant, Fouad was so helpful, such a nice person!). Afterwards I was contacted be Ege (the co-ordinator), who is my Savior, my hero, and till today i can assure you that he is always there for me to address my concerns and queries, which are a lot, and he is always very kind and assists me to the very best. Ege stayed in touch with me before my stay in Turkey, through out my stay in Istanbul, and again I keep bugging him with my questions. Before my surgery Dr. Ilker came over to check me out, and explained to me what he was about to do during my surgery, everything in detail. He is so nice, very caring, so friendly and most importantly so knowledgeable! I was a bit scared but excited as i knew that he would do a great job. I wasn't really in pain after my surgery but still i was given all the relevant medication. During my stay, I was in and out of the hospital every day to get checked out (Istanbul Aesthetic Center which is 3 minutes away from the hotel i stayed at), I can say that i am so happy with my results, still not healed 100% but getting there! I highly recommend Dr. Ilker Manavbasi (the best Surgeon) and his team as they are so helpful and understanding, as well as all the Hospital staff, really nice people, and off course Ege Cinar, he is just the person every patient needs, the best! I just need to say for the millionth time, THANK YOU!

I had a septorhinoplasty with Dr Ergin Er at Istanbul aesthetics plastic surgery centre, and had an incredible experience!! Everyone was incredibly supportive and helpful. Elviira, my Bookimed coordinator, was amazing at answering any questions I had (which was a lot!) and making sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. I was checked up on after my visit and also when I returned after a few weeks, with full end-to-end support. I had a smooth transition to Yasin, my medical manager, who was flawless at arranging travel and all logistics and also incredibly helpful with aftercare instructions. I did not have to worry or take care of anything myself. The hospital was clean, modern and comfortable and made sure I was ok at all times. The staff were incredibly attentive and more than happy to help answer any questions I had and made sure I didn’t feel nervous going in. My husband who stayed with me throughout was also well taken care of (given meals and bedding to stay next to me overnight), which was hugely appreciated. My surgeon, Dr Ergin Er, was very professional and reassuring- I’ve previously had a septoplasty in the UK which he needed to correct as well as performing the rhinoplasty as we had planned. There were no hidden or extra costs and I’m finally able to breathe clearly (like I was supposed to when I had surgery in London). He clearly communicated realistic expectations and what would suit my face I’m currently almost a month postop and couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! He has done the most incredible job and it is better than I could’ve hoped for I can’t wait to see what it looks like as it heals further but he’s truly turned my biggest insecurity into my new favourite feature! The after-care was fantastic and the recovery process was very easy. All the staff at the hospital were incredible and took such great care of me which I couldn’t be more thankful for. Overall, I had an amazing experience and i’m so pleased with how it’s turned out. I was fully taken care of from the first message to now. Originally I was a bit nervous about travelling abroad for surgery and wasn’t sure what to expect but this whole process has been so easy and smooth that I would absolutely do it again and recommend it to others. Everyone was so supportive and great at calming my nerves and reassuring me throughout every step of the way. I couldn’t be more thankful to my surgeon and the rest of the team for the amazing work they did.

I was afraid to go to another country for surgery without knowing the language, but everything went well. A good interpreter accompanied me everywhere, and the hospital staff spoke English. Everything was well organised, from arrival to departure, with communication available practically 24/7. The interpreter was always available, and the doctor was very good and experienced. I liked everything. If the operation is extensive, as it was in my case, it is essential to take someone with you, as it was difficult to move around on my own in the hotel after the operation. I will only be able to assess the results of the operation later, when everything has healed.
