The Procedure Process
The gastric balloon placement is an outpatient procedure. You arrive in the morning and leave the next day. The doctor places the balloon through your mouth using an endoscope. No surgery is needed. You stay one night in the hospital for observation. Most patients return to normal activities within 2-3 days.
The Spatz system is adjustable. Your doctor can add or remove fluid from the balloon during follow-up visits. This customization helps achieve better weight-loss results.

Hospital de la Familia is located in Mexicali, Mexico. It's minutes from the California border. The facility is certified by Mexico's Consejo de Salubridad General. It's part of the Hospitales MAC group. The clinic has a 4.1 rating from 23 patient reviews.
