The Surgeon
Dr. Krzysztof Czerkasow leads the orthopedics department. He has practiced for 42 years since 1983. During his career, he completed over 5,000 hip replacement procedures. Dr. Czerkasow previously worked as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at William Harvey Hospital in the UK. He also serves as a consultant for Zimmer-Biomet Poland.
Treatment Process
The procedure uses a cementless technique. This approach allows the bone to grow into the implant over time. It creates a stronger, more natural bond.
Patients stay in Poland for about 10 days total. The first 3 nights are spent in the hospital. Early mobility starts within 24-48 hours after surgery. A physiotherapist guides patients through recovery exercises. Four rehabilitation sessions help restore movement and strength.
After hospital discharge, patients move to the Mercure Hotel for 7 nights. The recovery team provides wound care and follow-up consultations. A final check happens before departure to ensure safe travel home.
