If I were asked to describe my experience in one word, I would say ‘well-balanced’. The Sapphire FUE procedure, during which 4,000–5,000 grafts were transplanted, went exactly to plan. The staff were incredibly supportive and attentive; I would give them 5/5 without hesitation. As for the surgeon’s work and the clinic itself, there are a couple of areas that could be improved, so I’d give them a 4/5. Recovery is going well: there’s a slight tightness in the donor area, but it’s not a big deal. New stubble is already starting to grow. The main thing is that it’s perfectly possible to sleep — the neck pillow really does help. I would recommend this place to my friends with an 8 out of 10 rating.

My biggest concern before arriving was the recovery process and whether placing 4000-5000 grafts would feel overwhelming during the initial healing phase. Two weeks after the Sapphire FUE procedure, the most prominent sensation is a slight tightness in the donor area, which is manageable and seems to be improving daily. The surgeon and staff were precise throughout the process, ensuring the technical details were handled correctly. Right now, new stubble is already growing in the recipient area. The progress is visible. I spent a lot of time researching the sapphire method because of its precision for high-density transplants. While the early days required some patience, the current results seem to be on track. The clinic followed all protocols strictly. I am monitoring the growth closely.
The organisation was simply brilliant! The staff were polite and professional, and our coordinator, Bibi, was always on hand; any issues were resolved quickly and professionally! The driver was very thoughtful and punctual, and the hotel was superb. Everything was thought through down to the smallest detail. I’m absolutely delighted!

Very pleased with the way everything went
Very pleased with the way everything went. Excellent organisation and attitude to the patient. The procedure itself is not very painful, everything is very calm (it only hurts when the anaesthetic is injected). The doctor prepares the channels for the hair herself. Excellent hotel, impeccable transfers and support from the organiser/translator.
It's too early to tell about the results, but so far everything looks good. My only regret is that they didn't add hair on the temples. I wish the doctor had noticed that too.

About the Doctor: - I must emphasize that my visit and my procedure were exceptional, and I highly recommend Bookimed for hair treatments and even for cosmetic surgery procedures (next, I plan to have a chin lift)
Attempting a hair replacement procedure in the United States is not only costly but also requires expertise that is well-regarded in other countries, such as South Korea or, in my case, Turkey. From the very first day, Bookimed was extremely responsive and answered all my questions promptly and professionally, while also offering me the best price for the hair replacement procedure. Initially, I was given quotes for an Istanbul plastic surgery clinic, but later I received an even better assessment and consultation at the Adem & Havva hair clinic. I chose the FUE hair method, which is less expensive than the new DHI method, and I believe it is just as effective, although FUE does require slightly more recovery time over a few days.
Do your research on what you want for your needs, balance the cost, and see what works for you. Remember, two pricing options are offered for each procedure: 'Shaved Head' and 'Unshaved Head.' The shaved head option is cheaper, but I believe it is more hygienic. The unshaved method looks better while you are healing (as you retain your usual hair), but I personally feel that removing all hair to give the doctors a clean base for the procedure is the best approach, as well as being more affordable and hygienic without compromising on quality.
Your cost will vary based on your consultation with Bookimed, which includes sending them photos with specific instructions. Ultimately, the final cost will depend on the number of grafts needed. However, Bookimed will work to find the best deal for you based on the procedure you choose. Compare other clinics if you feel that Bookimed offers you the best price on comparable procedures from other clinics.
I recommend arriving in Turkey about 3-4 days earlier so you can see this beautiful country before your hair care procedure. They will arrange transportation and hotel accommodation for you if you wish to stay additional nights and will meet you at the airport to take you to your hair care procedures.
I cannot emphasize enough that my visit and procedure were excellent, and I highly recommend Bookimed for hair procedures and even plastic surgery procedures (I will be having a chin lift next). It has only been a week since my procedure, and I can post photos based on my current healing state. But I have had no issues or side effects, and my scalp and hair are healing and growing properly.
The clinic will monitor my hair process for one year to ensure my hair grows well, and I am completely satisfied. I hope this review helps many of you. I want to express special thanks to Dr. Hasan Jabbar at Bookimed, Maryum, our consultant and hair care coordinator, Serpil Kargin, the office manager at the Adem & Havva clinic, and finally, our driver, Mr. Zafer, who was very accommodating and helped me return to the U.S. with all transportation and covid testing.
