What Temos assessed
The “Quality in International Medical Travel Coordination” program evaluates the quality, safety and reliability of non-clinical services in the patient journey – from the first inquiry to follow-up after treatment. To be accredited, a coordinator must meet six requirements:
- A registered business for at least two completed financial years
- Full service for medical travelers from pre-travel to post-discharge – pure brokerage of treatment is not accepted
- A Total Quality Management system in place
- Services managed with a Continuous Quality Improvement system
- Cooperation only with medical providers that run Continuous Quality Improvement, ideally internationally certified or accredited
- Practice in line with the World Medical Association International Code of Medical Ethics

It did not cover:
- Temos accredited Bookimed's coordination services, not the clinics. Clinics hold their own accreditations, such as JCI or ISO, and remain responsible for treatment.
How the accreditation went

January 2023. Temos issued Bookimed its first certificate, No. UA0002JAN2023, and listed Bookimed in its registry of accredited partners as a medical travel coordinator.

March 31, 2023. Temos announced Bookimed's accreditation and welcomed Bookimed to its accredited partner network.

December 31, 2025. The last certificate was valid through this date. From January 2023 to December 2025, Bookimed held the accreditation. Archived copies of the Temos registry from 2023 to 2025 listed Bookimed as an accredited partner. At Bookimed, Mariia Mytrofankina coordinated the work with Temos International.

If the coordinator cannot resolve the issue, it goes to the department head and then to senior management. Questions about treatment results and clinical decisions are handled by the clinic.
