So, at 68, I decided I didn’t want that tired look anymore. While searching for the best surgeon for blepharoplasty, I found Dr. Antonio Pitanguy. The consultation was scheduled on the day I arrived from my trip. With his experience and confidence, he showed me that doing only the blepharoplasty wouldn’t solve the discomfort I felt with my face. I was full of fear, but convinced, and I went ahead with a facelift, along with upper and lower blepharoplasty and Morpheus on my chest. Here I am, 18 days after surgery. I’m very grateful to Dr. Antonio Pitanguy for his kindness and for understanding my complaints in the first days, lol—but today I can already see the progress, and I know that from now on I’ll only feel better and better. I was extremely well taken care of by the entire team, who—besides being competent—are truly caring professionals, making me feel welcomed at every moment.

I was planning to have a face lift, but my main priority was chose of the Doctor. I researched on Instagram and found Dr Antonio Pitanguy- Cirurgia and ultimately flew to Brazil to meet him in person. I was impressed with him from the start with his knowledge and willingness to listen to me and my concerns. A facelift is very important, and all my concerns were addressed in our first meeting. During this meeting I was shown pictures of before and after of other patents and the results were fantastic. We flew back to Brazil for the procedure which started with a consolation with the Doctor and proceeded to the procedure and then follow up care. The Doctor's office provided transportation from the airport to the hotel as well as transportation to and from the consultations, hospital and follow up care appointments. Office staff were very courteous, attentive and professional, making me feel welcome. While at the hospital I was provided with a nurse 24/ 7 for the entire stay and for the first day back at the hotel. The procedure itself was not painful at all, and the scars are barely noticeable 21 days after the procedure. I am very happy with the entire process from initial consultation, though procedure in hospital to after care and of the the final results. My husband is very happy with the results as well and keeps telling me how beautiful I look. While visiting the office I met several women who had the same procedure as me and saw how beautiful they looked and it occurred to me that my procedure was done by the same hands of Dr Antonio Pitanguy- Cirurgia. I am so happy with my results and the entire experience. Clearly Dr Antonio Pitanguy- Cirurgia does what he loves to do.

Of course it adds something, but what truly sets him apart is his technical ability, the care during the pre-operative period, the extreme and dedicated attention during the hospital stay, and the availability and judgment with the post-operative follow-up. All of this, combined with the excellence of his work, guarantees us patients the results we are aiming for. I had a very specific set of requirements for my surgery, I used ChatGPT to help me narrow down a surgeon in Rio de Janeiro. I was looking for a surgeon who had specific experience working with male patients, a surgeon worked with a high end hospital in Rio, a surgeon who was as interested in medical safety as opposed to just aesthetics alone, a surgeon who's style was conservative and not overdone and a surgeon that would work at the higher end of the market where let's say a tv or media personality would use. ChatGPT mentioned that the starting point for all of those characteristics and in addition offered services in both Portuguese and English, should be Dr. Pitanguy. What you want to stay away from are Instagram famous surgeons instead of surgeons who have a background in teaching, you want to stay away from bargain hunting and find a surgeon who can provide a great result that improves your appearance then a surgeon who will overdo things to change your appearance. I was really looking for a surgeon who could deliver on the idea of you look great but nobody knows why. From start to finish everything was great with the staff and pre/post operation but the most important part was the philosophy of less is more. If you are looking for a comical, pulled every direction look that people will see right away, this probably isn't the surgeon for you, but if you want the, they must have great genes or great surgeons but I can't tell look, then this is the place for you.
