Erebuni Medical Center

Erebuni Medical Center is a major multi-specialty hospital in Yerevan, Armenia. Founded in 1991, it has grown into a significant healthcare provider with roughly 100 departments and units. The center treats about 36,000 patients each year. It offers emergency care, surgical treatments, and specialized diagnostics.

The facility holds JCI accreditation, which confirms adherence to international patient safety and quality standards. Its medical team includes 480 physicians across various disciplines. Neurology and Neurosurgery

The hospital runs a regional Stroke Center that provides 24-hour emergency care for cerebrovascular events. Two specialized teams – neurology and neurosurgery – work together to treat suspected stroke cases immediately upon arrival. The neurology department manages over 2,000 inpatient and 5,000 outpatient cases each year.

Surgeons perform several advanced endovascular procedures to treat brain and vascular conditions:

• Mechanical thrombectomy – physical removal of blood clots from arteries
• IV thrombolysis using alteplase to dissolve clots

Maternity and Pediatric Care

The radiation therapy unit relies on Varian technologies, including the Halcyon and Edge platforms, for precise tumor targeting. The hospital also operates a European Nuclear Medicine Center. For surgical needs, the facility uses the Fresenius Kabi Aurora system and various robotic platforms.

The center offers general, individual, and premium-class suites. Premium rooms provide high comfort and are available for expectant mothers and postpartum patients. These suites allow relatives to stay around the clock and include three healthy meals per day.
