Hira Sweets in Laxmi Nagar is an absolute paradise for food lovers and a legendary household name. The sprawling, bustling outlet is famous for serving incredibly good food and sweets under one roof. From their authentic, melt-in-the-mouth pure desi ghee traditional Indian sweets like Balushahi and fresh Kalakand to savory crowd favorites like Chole Bhature, Tandoori platter, Sizzlers and South Indian platters, the quality and taste are consistently top-notch. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful experience at Hira sweets shop. The variety of sweets was impressive, and every item tasted fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. You can truly feel the authentic traditional flavor in every bite. The quality, presentation, and hygiene were excellent, and the staff was polite and welcoming. From classic mithai to special desserts, everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. A perfect place for sweet lovers and definitely one of the best shops to enjoy premium Indian sweets. Highly recommended for both taste and quality

Visited Hira Sweets and it was a great experience for anyone who loves Indian मिठाई and snacks. The place is clean, well-organized, and has a wide variety of sweets, namkeen, and quick bites. I tried their rasgulla, kaju katli, and chaat—everything tasted fresh and well-balanced in sweetness. Their snacks section is also worth trying if you want something savory. The quality feels consistent, which is a big plus. The only downside is that it can get quite crowded during peak hours, and prices are slightly on the higher side compared to local shops—but the taste and hygiene make up for it. Overall, a reliable spot for sweets and quick snacks. Definitely worth visiting if you're nearby!

Hira Sweets, you have forever ruined the value of $3 (!!!!!) for me. Outstanding meal: Masala dosa: big crepe with potatoes. Delicious. Aloo Bedmi: reccomended by server. Spicy potato stew with big crispy puffy breads to dip it in. I will repeat: it’s spicy. Balushahi: a dense buttery donut ball. Milk Cake: even more crumbly buttery goodness. Very well done. You know you made the right decision coming here when you stand outside and take in the aroma. 10/10, one of my favorite meals as a restaurant goer ###### Part 2! Ofc I came back. Asked dudes at counter to give me the other best sellers. Didn’t know what anything is so Gemini helped: Top Left: Kalakand – A soft, grainy milk cake made from solidified, sweetened milk and paneer. Top Right: White Barfi – A dense, milk-based fudge topped with pistachios and cardamom bits. Center (Green):Pista Laddu flavored sweet (pistachio) wrapped in Chandi Ka Vark (edible silver foil). Bottom left: Moong Dal Halwa– rice or curd like texture. This might be my favorite versus milk cake (bottom right). Silver Foil (Middle bottom): Kaju Katli cashew fudge, which was like flaky caramel. Samosa and badaam milk (yellow from saffron and slightly sweet) were great too. ###### Part 3! I’m back in Delhi. I tried many more items and I came to the conclusion that if you’re a noob who wants to try everything, the move is this: go upstairs and get a menu. On the back, they have their best desserts. You can try them all for like $8 (and judgement from your waiter, but yolo). Also add the milk cake and badam milk, and you have a legendary mukbang. And diabetes. Here’s the explanation of the dessert menu: The "Syrupy & Fried" Group * Gulab Jamun: Warm, fried dough balls in rose syrup. The gold standard of Indian sweets. My favorite place for this is Daryaganj Restaurant. * Rasgulla: Spongy, airy cheese balls in a light, clear syrup. (Rasmalai is def better imo.) * Rajbhog: A jumbo version of Rasgulla, colored yellow with saffron and stuffed with nuts. * Jalebi: Crunchy, bright orange spirals filled with syrup. Tastes like Krispy Kreme donut. * Balushahi: the flaky, ghee-fried donut * Malpua: Rich, syrupy fried pancakes with crispy edges. The "Milk & Cream" Group * Rasmalai: Flattened cheese discs soaked in chilled, sweetened saffron milk. Very good. * Kulfi: Traditional Indian ice cream. It's much denser and creamier than the Western kind. Comes on a stick…like a corn dog, but ice cream (lol). * Rabri: Milk reduced for hours until it becomes a thick, velvety cream. Get it with the Jalebi. * Fruit Cream: fruit chunks…and whipped cream The "Halwa" (Warm Pudding) Group * Gajar Halwa: The classic winter pudding made from grated carrots, milk, and ghee. * Moong Dal Halwa: A heavy, nutty, and rich pudding made from lentils. * Badam Halwa: A luxury pudding made entirely from ground almonds. * Gond Halwa: A chewy, "healthy" pudding made from edible gum, usually eaten for energy. Thank you all for coming to my white guy TED talk on Hira Sweets.

Hira Sweets is a great place if you love Indian desserts. I tried their Jalebi and Rabri combination, and it was absolutely delicious. The jalebis are made fresh and served hot, while the rabri is cold, thick, and rich — the mix tastes heavenly. I bought 150g Jalebi + 100g Rabri for ₹150, and it was totally worth it. The jalebis are light, perfectly sweet, and have a nice ghee flavour. This combo is a must-try, especially in winters. They also have many other sweets and desserts available if you want to explore more. One thing to note: they prefer online payments and usually avoid giving change for amounts like ₹3, ₹6, or ₹7. The shop is almost always crowded, which shows how popular it is. Overall, highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh, tasty, and authentic Indian sweets. Jalebi-Rabri lovers should definitely try this place.
