I wholeheartedly recommend the Endometriosis Institute in Wrocław. ❤️
For over 10 years, I was trying to find the answer to the question of what was really wrong with me. I visited consecutive doctors, had tests done, and for years I remained without the correct diagnosis. Only last year did I find my way to the Endometriosis Institute, and during the examination—already after just a few seconds—I heard the diagnosis I had been waiting for for more than a decade.
One and a half months ago, I underwent surgery performed by dr Mikołaj Karmowski and dr Łukasz Kotarski. I’m incredibly grateful to both doctors for their professionalism, knowledge, precision, and above all for the sense of safety they gave me.
The entire staff of the Institute deserves huge thanks as well. From the very first contact, through the coordinator, all the way to care in the hospital and later recovery, I was met with great kindness, empathy, and genuine interest. Everyone I had contact with was helpful, patient, and simply human.
Postoperative care here is truly at the highest level!

I’m an incredibly grateful patient, because I was in the hands of people who not only diagnosed me very well, but also explained the entire treatment process to me in a detailed and calm manner.

As you read this review, you’re probably wondering the same thing I was a few months ago: whether it’s worth spending these unbelievably huge amounts of money on surgery at the Instytut [Institute], because after all, you can get treatment on NFZ.
tl;dr: IT’S WORTH IT.
The level of competence, commitment, and doctors’ knowledge at the Instytut Endometriozy is—overly—very, very high.
I’m 4 months after the surgery and I don’t regret either the decision to have the procedure or a single złoty spent on it.
After years of going from one gynecologist’s office to another, and also after preliminary pre-surgery consultations on NFZ, where I was even told that my problems are too complex for surgery and that I’d better keep taking hormones that don’t help, it was only dr. Karmowski who made the right diagnosis and didn’t hesitate to operate. What’s more, he saw on ultrasound right away changes that no gynecologist before him had noticed, and he discussed with me what they mean.
If you don’t like dr. Karmowski’s vibe, book an appointment with dr. Rubisz or dr. Kotarski. They are all great, experienced specialists.
The care and comfort before, during, and after the surgery feels more like a nice holiday resort than a hospital. You get answers to every question—you know what’s happening and, importantly, WHY.
I don’t know if you can imagine it or if you still remember what life without pain is like—I didn’t. And now I’m discovering the world again and I’m enjoying every day like a child.

After long searches and being passed from doctor to doctor, I finally found the Endometriosis Institute in Wrocław. Only here Dr Mikołaj Karmowski❤️ made a specific diagnosis and offered real help. I decided to undergo surgery.
The surgery itself turned out to be very long, difficult, and involved a high risk of complications.
The operation was carried out at the highest level by two outstanding doctors ❤️ Mikołaj Karmowski, ❤️Łukasz Kotarski, who did everything they could to give me a chance at a healthy life without pain.
My attending doctor was Dr Mikołaj Karmowski❤️. With a clear conscience, I can say one word about him: a Master!
During my long stay in the ward, I didn’t feel, even for a moment, that I was left to my own devices. The doctor gave me enormous support and a sense of safety. He was interested in my health condition—humanly, with care and heart.
I am extremely grateful to the entire medical team for their care—for full professionalism, but also for ordinary, warm kindness.

20 years of living in pain, an enormously long list of doctors who told me that nothing was wrong with me, that it’s just my appearance, that it’s supposed to hurt... I ended up with DR. MIKOŁAJ KARMOWSKI! It took literally just a few minutes, and I knew everything. Thank you, Mr. Doctor, for your professionalism, for the quick diagnosis, for the support—also mentally, for understanding and for care. Thank you for answering your phone at any time whenever I needed information and when uncertainty crept in. Thank you for a new life! There wasn’t time to think—it was a quick decision and surgery... today I’m more than two months after the operation. I feel like I’m living—stronger, more... without pain. Dr Karmowski is the best specialist for endometriosis. I decided to go for a follow-up visit with an endometriosis doctor on the NFZ and I’m very sorry—I wasted time and nerves. Luckily, Dr Karmowski clarified everything and explained it. Thanks to his surgery, I have a little daughter; I’ll always be grateful to this team 💗

I wholeheartedly recommend the Institute of Endometriosis in Wrocław. From the very first contact, I felt that I was in the best hands :)
Dr Rubisz deserves special recognition—he guided me throughout the entire course of my treatment and performed the surgery. He is an outstanding specialist with vast experience, and at the same time a doctor full of empathy, patience, and dedication. He explains everything thoroughly, answers every question, and makes the patient feel safe. Because of him, I felt that I was in the best hands ;)!
Just as much praise is due to Dr. Kotarski, who also took part in my surgery. The professionalism and experience of both doctors inspire enormous trust.
As for the anesthesiology team—extremely professional, kind, and caring about the patient’s comfort and calmness before the procedure. After all, I’m not afraid of anesthesia from the moment of the procedure ;)
A huge advantage of this place is also the nursing staff. Every person in the team was smiling, warm, helpful, and full of empathy. You can see that they are people who work with a calling—able to create an atmosphere that provides a sense of safety and being cared for.
Of course, Ms Magda and Daria from customer service also deserve the highest rating. Professional, polite, and always ready to help—everything runs smoothly and without any problems throughout the entire organizational process.
The Institute of Endometriosis in Wrocław is a place created by exceptional specialists and wonderful staff. The high level of medical care, professionalism, empathy, and an individual approach to the patient mean that I can confidently recommend this place to every woman.
My hospital stay is 100/10. The food was also great ;) Warm greetings!

From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank the entire team of the Instytut Endometriozy for the care I received—from my very first appointment through the postoperative period. After years of searching for answers and repeatedly having my symptoms dismissed, I finally found a place where I was truly listened to and taken seriously. For the first time, I didn’t hear that I was “overreacting,” that “this is just how I am,” or that everything was in my head. I was thoroughly examined and correctly diagnosed—adenomyosis and endometriosis. Just hearing the right diagnosis was an enormous relief.
The perioperative care was at the highest level. Before the surgery, I felt cared for, calm, and well prepared. After the surgery, I had constant contact and the feeling that I wasn’t left to deal with everything on my own. This genuinely gives great comfort and a sense of security.
Special thanks go to Dr Karmowski and Dr Rubisz—for their professionalism, vast knowledge, empathy, and human approach. They are doctors who don’t just treat, but above all listen to the patient and look at her problem holistically.
