My biggest worry before travelling was whether the quality of the surgeon would be as good as promised and if the final cost would be predictable. On the medical side, the doctor and the service have been absolutely first-class. I am in the early phase of recovery from my Haglund’s Deformity surgery, and I feel the surgeon handled my case with great professionalism. The care was excellent. The part that could be better, however, is the financial transparency. I was disappointed when the final price changed from what was originally agreed upon. This was a significant drawback for me and created a mixed overall feeling, despite the high quality of the medical treatment itself.

Honestly, there is nothing that could have been better

The initial consultation set the tone for the entire process. It was clear from the start that my treatment would require two visits, which I appreciated knowing upfront. My coordinater Lilia was very helpful and assisted me every step; she made everything straightforward. I am still in early recovery, so it's too early to tell about the final outcome, but I'm scheduled to get full dentures on top and a partial on the bottom during the next appointment. The clinic has stayed in touch since I left. There were no additional expenses on top of the quoted price. Honestly, there is nothing that could have been better. My main advice for future patients is to be prepared for that second visit if you have teeth extracted, as your gums will need time to heal before the final denture is fitted.

The clinic provided excellent care

What worried me most before the operation was the recovery process and the pain. I’d read about the laparoscopic TEP procedure and knew it was minimally invasive, but I still had my concerns. In reality, it turned out to be quite bearable. The hardest part in the first few days was getting out of bed, that’s true. Now, in the early stages of recovery, I only feel a slight tightness in my groin when walking, and coughing causes only minor discomfort rather than sharp pain. The doctors and staff were competent and answered all my questions clearly, which gave me confidence. Everything went according to plan. The clinic provided excellent care.

The only small minus is the long wait for the response of the clinic itself to record the appointment. It seemed that the clinic was not very interested. But when my husband and I got there, we realized that the influx of patients is very high. For this reason, they carefully choose the doctor, the day of the consultation, the MRI, in order to meet the minimum length of the patient's stay in the clinic. The whole process, from the first call to the coordinator right through to the arrangements at the clinic itself, was clear and straightforward. I was very happy with the quality of the service. The clinic is modern, well-equipped, and clean. Max, the dentist I saw, was thorough and professional; the consultation was clear and informative, and he developed a carefully considered treatment plan that took into account the potential complexities of my case. I underwent root canal retreatment on a tooth with an existing crown. Max explained that the crown was high quality and that he would try to preserve and reuse it where possible, while also outlining fallback options if that wasn’t feasible. I’m not convinced the same level of care and consideration would have been taken had I undergone the procedure in the UK. Communication throughout was excellent. Medhat was always available to answer any questions, which made the process smooth and reassuring. I’m very pleased that I chose to travel to Poland for the treatment.

Even though Bookimed staff was really helpful

Even though Bookimed staff was really helpful, the Carolina hospital in Poland I chose was quite disappointing. They were an hour late for their consultation. Even after the hospital said I couldn’t get a quote until I pay for consultation. After I did, they were an hour late for it. There was no one to contact to ask if the appointment was still on or cancelled and they didn’t reach out to me until after 1hr asking if I was ready for my consultation. No single apology for running behind schedule. Told them they were late and I had another appointment to catch up with, suddenly they offered to review my results offline and give me a quote since I can’t attend the consultation as if it was my fault I couldn’t attend it. I thought they couldn’t give a quote until they have a consultation. I was pissed with the unprofessionalism of the doctor/his secretary

Everyone starting with the coordinators, doctor, nurses were really nice and helpful, the staff care about their patients. The appointment i was supposed to have in another clinic was canceled because the doctor canceled all appointments on the surgery day, so the coordinator from bookimed (Natalia) reached out to Lokman Hekim hospital and they agreed to take me in the same day for blood tests and surgery next day, I am really thankful to dr. Hasan, nurses, Mr. Ismael, Olga and everyone, who took a part in my stay in the hospital.I definitely recommend this hospital for treatments
