Carolina Hospital: Patients Reviews and Experience

My biggest worry was that I wouldn’t get clear answers or a concrete plan of action, but the consultation with the orthopaedic surgeon completely put those doubts to rest. The doctor was very attentive and took the time to explain everything in detail, which immediately put my mind at ease. Both the surgeon himself and the entire staff worked seamlessly and professionally; I felt supported at every stage. Everything at the clinic is very well organised. The recovery process is still ahead of me, but thanks to this approach, I am confident that I made the right decision. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

I was most anxious about the upcoming consultation, but all my fears were dispelled almost immediately. Neurosurgeon Yuri Stenyuk spoke to me at great length, taking his time, answering all my questions and explaining the treatment plan in such a way that I had no doubts left. That was important. The whole process, from the first call to the coordinator right through to the arrangements at the clinic itself, was clear and straightforward. The coordinator, Sergey Kravets, was constantly checking in on me and offering support. The staff worked seamlessly and professionally. I feel I am in safe hands. There were no unpleasant surprises.

Even though Bookimed staff was really helpful, the Carolina hospital in Poland I chose was quite disappointing. They were an hour late for their consultation. Even after the hospital said I couldn’t get a quote until I pay for consultation. After I did, they were an hour late for it. There was no one to contact to ask if the appointment was still on or cancelled and they didn’t reach out to me until after 1hr asking if I was ready for my consultation. No single apology for running behind schedule. Told them they were late and I had another appointment to catch up with, suddenly they offered to review my results offline and give me a quote since I can’t attend the consultation as if it was my fault I couldn’t attend it. I thought they couldn’t give a quote until they have a consultation. I was pissed with the unprofessionalism of the doctor/his secretary

I am very grateful to the coordenator Sergey for his competence, his ability to find a convenient time for me, the doctor, without him I would not have been able to do all the procedures, he just guided me on the phone, I am surprised at the patience and respect of this man, he also chose a competent doctor for me, I have not finished the treatment and I want to add that the treatment was cheaper than planned, no unnecessary procedures were not prescribed. Clinic was good. Everything explained to me. Failed to organize double MRI scans the same day. Unable to get to see Consultant after further xrays and the MRI scan on my right knee as earliest appointment was after the date I flew back to the UK.

I want to express my gratitude to Bookimed, the consultant for helping me find a clinic. In my case, it was orthopedics. I was advised to go to the Carolina Hospital in Warsaw. Since I don't know the language very well, especially medical terms, I was provided with an interpreter. Many thanks to the interpreter Svetlana, with her help I was able to communicate with the doctor Andrzej Komor. The doctor is very attentive and professional, he listened and asked about everything related to my health problem, asked a lot of questions about previous treatment. He gave valuable recommendations for the future. After the appointment, I had only positive impressions. I am very grateful for the care and individual approach to the patient!!! It was just a consultation, I still have to have an operation in this clinic. I hope everything will be fine!

Bookimed really helped. The clinic was found quickly and literally the next day I already knew the treatment plan that suited me completely. All the information received from the agent was true, I could not even believe it. But having trusted them, I realised that I was in good hands and everything went as planned. Everything was top notch. Friendly staff at the reception. There was a language barrier, but a Russian-speaking girl quickly came up. They took me to the doctor. The neurosurgeon Tomasz Nitchuk was attentive. Explained everything. Gave answers to all my questions. And special thanks to Bookimed. Everything is operational# accessible. The most terrible experience with a doctor in my life, and both my husband and I have the same opinion, I was not even examined once during 2 visits, apparently, he wanted to go home the first time, because there was no one else after me, I came with a question whether it is possible to get pregnant with my spinal injury, he immediately said yes, get pregnant, why do you ask? He didn't even ask me about my stabilisation or how my spine had healed, he wasn't interested in the consultation at all, he behaved disgustingly, he looked away from his computer twice, it looked like the doctor had "caught a star" and spoke to us as if he didn't even know what he was talking about... I've never seen such disrespect and arrogance from doctors in my life!

I paid PLN 350 for a consultation with a neurosurgeon, and the doctor didn’t really say anything, he said, like, I’ll give you the number of a rehabilitator, go to him, pay more and he will show you what exercises to do. For that kind of money, he had to show at least some minimum of exercises.
